The Reds: Rob Simmons although a wallaby doesn't always get the recognition he deserves he calls the lineouts & get's through a mountain of work in the tight.

Vickerman will have to hit the ground running if he is any shot of making the Wallabies 22 as I think Simmons is pretty clear cut favourite for the 3rd locking spot.

The Rebels: Hugh Pyle has started to get some media attention of late but it was our own RugbyReg who marked Pyle as one to watch just before the season kicked off.
Pyle can do everything you want from a test lock maybe a bit raw for the RWC squad but injuries happen & he is a definite bolter if 1 or 2 locks go down.

The Force: Pek Cowan was a wallaby not so long ago but John Mitchell put an end to his test career by moving him from prop to hooker for the Western Force.

He's now playing better than when he was a Wallaby but with the rise of young props like Alexander, Slipper, Daley & Kepu I don't really rate his chances of adding to his test caps.

The Tahs: Dave Dennis is brilliant I really rate him as a rugby player & think his game is made for test rugby as a blindside flanker there is a stack of blindside flankers before him as far as test selection but I don't think he'd be out of place in the test arena.

The Brumbies: Dan Palmer really needs to work on his fitness & skill around the park to even be considered for higher honours but he can scrum.

Sure he may never be a Wallaby but one day may be a very good Wallaby scrum coach.

Nick Phipps - - he's easily Australia's #2 scrumhalf. I rate him higher than burgess in the pecking order.

I'll base mine on just the players who I think have become underrated purely through the ongoing bandwagon criticism.

Brumbies - Giteau, is actually playing good
Waratahs - Carter, we all know the story by now
Reds - S. Fainga'a, the new supposed "worst hooker in Australian rugby"
Force - Brown, the "useless" workhorse
Rebels - Gerrard, "too slow to play in the back-line"

Tahs: Sitaleki Timani, Sekope Kepu, Ben Mowen
Reds: B Robinson (by selectors anyway), James Hansen (he'd start every week if I was picking the side)
Rebs: Ged Robinson, Al Campbell (he's been a real revelation this year)
Brums: Dan Palmer (clearly the best scrummaging THP in Aus), Peter Kimlin (when he can get a run)
Force: Dick Brown, Brett Sheehan.

Peter Kimlin is a smokey for the World Cup...

He's probably in a group with the likes of Dennis, Pyle and Wykes who are the in form young up and comers that can cover lock/backrow and are vying for that possible last spot in the squad...

But he's also got the advantage of being capped twice under Deans...

Out of all of those players only Gitaeu would go to the World Cup...

Fainga'a maybe, but he's in a cripple fight with Edmonds, Charles and Hanson...

Add in A.Fainga'a and his supposed lack of pace & creativity.

#1 Tah

Chilla Wilson (44)
Benn Robinson.

He played 80 minutes on Saturday night, got to most rucks, made all his tackles, had a few pick & goes, great at every scrum, had a few passes from scrumhalf and ended up making a huge run on the wing and palming off Bieber late in the game.

If yiou judge him on his whole super rugby career, definitely. Fairborther seems a forgotten man to me and would push plamer for the mantle as best scrummaging THP in Aus an is probably bettter around the park.

Good call. I recall him playing some quality games before Barnes arrived.

Tahs: Dave Dennis. Love this guy, works his arse off. Runs the ball well, doesn't miss tackles and great athlete. Would have him in the side over McCutcheon and Mowen definitely.
Force: Nathan Charles. Might be a bit of a stretch to call him underrated to some, but I think he's clearly the best hooker outside of Moore and TPN in Australia.
Brumbies: Dan Palmer. Deserves to be in the RWC squad over Alexander IMO.
Rebels: Ged Robinson: Looks like he should be playing 5th grade footy, but fuck me he works hard.
Reds: Rob Simmons. Hard to pick an underrated Red really, but Simmons is the best young lock prospect Australia have had in a while IMO. Been great this season to little fanfare in the media.

Tahs:- Mowen - most don't realise that he has taken over calling the lineouts from Mumm. His work rate is as good as Dennis. As much as I don't like the stats have a look at the number of carries he has and the number of tackles/ misses. Will be Tahs Captain very soon IMO.
Reds:- Lucas has been a very good replacement for Hynes, so much so that I wonder if everyone was fit if he would get back in the first 15.
Brumbies:- I really don't think any are under-rated, a few are rated heavily and let themsleves and their team mates down regularly
Rebels:- Phipps - not for much longer I expect he will be reserve half behind Genia this year.
Force:- Delit wasn't even in the 22 at the start of the year. If everyone was fit I would drop David Smith before Delit.

ChargerWA

Mark Loane (55)
Force - Sheehan

He plays a similar game to Burgess but is more reliable and is a gutsy team man who punches above his weight.

Dunno, you'd struggle to find anyone on here who he doesn't rate him already?
