I just watched an interview with him done as he left hospital. He sounded good - no facial paralysis, no slurring, no apparent cognitive issues. He said the damage was to the back right of his brain and affected the visual cortex so his left field of vision is basically gone, but he thinks it's improving already and could get better. The Doc that spoke said he dodged a huge cannonball, and was very, very lucky not to be dead let alone walking and talking. I got the impression they were hopeful that there wouldn't be a recurrence as well.
