This is all my personal surmising, but I think the Broncos have seen a large departure of "under the table" support since the departure of Wayne Bennett. Not saying that it was Bennett involved, just the supporters were also strong supporters of Bennett. I am still referring to the Thoroughbreads, of course, and am just guessing. But yeah, the Broncos have bled talent in recent years and now are a middle of the table side for the first time in well over a decade.

Manly would be the first team that would leap out as suspect after the Storm. Souths would be up there too, especially with Crowe's hand in it.

Cronulla would be one of the few sides I would not suspect. Those guys a flat broke and can't even afford to spend their entire cap, plus - their team is mostly crap.
The ones that stuck out for me would be Parramatta, the Roosters and St George. They always seem to attract quality players from opposite clubs and retain the majority of their own.

I am ready to background Murdoch so he has a full understanding
April 27, 2010

There is a great deal I would like to say about my five years at the Melbourne Storm, a club that I have the highest regard for and whose players are the finest and most courageous group of sportsmen I have ever seen run on to the field.

As you can appreciate, my strong legal advice is that I should not speak, at least not at this stage. I would be prepared to tell everything I know to a properly constituted, public and transparent inquiry which requires evidence under oath from all relevant persons, past and present, including News Ltd executives, NRL executives and officials, News Ltd Melbourne Storm board members, Melbourne Storm directors, staff, coaches and personnel and player managers.

I am also prepared to give the entire background to Rupert Murdoch so that he has a full understanding of how his Australian company has managed a $66 million investment in the Melbourne Storm since its inception.

Brian Waldron

that would be fun

Nice one Brian. He could have written: "I'm taking you down with me" in letters cut from magazines.

My guess is there will be a Underbelly/Underworld style contract put out for Brian Waldrom's Head.

15 other CEO's & officials willing to fund it through second set of books.
