Melbourne Rebels 2024

The Ghost of Raelene

David Codey (61)
Mason looks like he’d benefit from a full year of playing grade. Just get the mins in him instead of a cameo here and there. Especially if he wants to become a Fullback.

Feel like what we’ve seen of Joost is about as good as he’ll ever be.

Fiji would be great, not sure Townsville is a good location for it, it's rugby league country from a fans supporter perspective.

Next year would like to see

1 - Gibbon
2 - Mafi
3 - Topou
4 - Canham
5 - LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto)
6 - Kemeney
7 - Wilkin (vc)
8 - Leota (c)
9 - Lourwens
10 - Gordon
11 - Daungunu
12 - lli
13 - Proctor
14 - Anderson
15 - Kellaway

Believe that starting side would have 8 players that are capped internationally and another few with Aus A

With that starting XV, the bench would be:

16. Uelese 17. Eloff 18. Faamausili 19. Smith 20. Ekuasi 21. Maunder 22. Gordon/Jooste 23. Pincus

Quite a forward bomb squad.

For 2024:

5 Rebels playing for the Wallabies (6 if Bell fails a fitness test and Gibbo comes in)
4 Playing for Australia A
5 Playing for U20s

Plus Kellaway still being managed through his return and Canham training with Australia A.

Not a bad little group to build with.
And some internationals from other countries who aren't eligible!
