Haven't looked, but if he has it makes sense. He's not going to get the openside gig at the Force, so if he wants to compete for the 6 or 8 spot then he needs to bulk up.
One of the problems I recall about Hodgson at the Tahs and his first year at the Force is that amount of tackles he used to fall off when he used to get on the park. Glad to see that that problem appears to be gone
