To me it isn't about losing, it is how you lose.

I can cope with being beaten by a better side when your side is trying their guts out, and is simply just outplayed.

But when a side drops it's proverbial head, stops playing as a team and turns into rabble, they deserve what they get from the crowd

Could not agree more, if you loose but have given your all fair play, but to loose like that is terrible.

I really don't like seeing booing anywhere. It's just a really tacky response for me. But I'm one of those people who won't boo an opposition kick taker - as I'm sure many here won't.

I don't begrudge this action of anyone else though. Burkes justification of who can and can't comment with the "you haven't played at this level" is nonsense on so many levels. Were his logic correct, then surely cheering and clapping are also ignorant reactions. I have never built a house, nor have the skills required to design the plans and execute them. However, I would sure as hell boo the architect and builders if it fell down around me.

Burke is a tool. Always has been, even his teammates didn't like him. Plus he was one of the biggest hogs of all time, certainly up there with Latho on non-passing ability. An individual not a team player, hence the arrogance.

What a load of rubbish. Up to your usual standard, though.

I guess he should have slowed down waited for his support after he'd broken the defensive line with excellent running lines and pace and an open try line in front of him....

Saying his article was poor is one thing, but re-writing history on one of the Wallabies top 3 backs in the last 20 years is just delusional

Now that is laughable.

How different the world is now readers can speak back to you. Maybe the cognoscenti bubble has burst?

(do I get any points for cognoscenti?)
They've closed comments on the article after 13 hours, so I guess readers can only speak back for a short period of time. Still, 133 of them may have gotten a point across.

No it certainly isn't a fair call. Every reader of a newspaper has the right to complain if they think an article is wrong.

Burke is applying the same wrong logic to his article as he applied to the Tahs.

You don't need to be a super rugby player to criticise your team when they show no commitment. You don't need to be a journalist to criticise bad journalism. Just like you don't need to be a f*cking pie to criticise pies.

hold the horses groucho, was just being a smart ass. think the article is bullshit the same as you and after so many tahs players came out and took responsability and apologised to the fans, the worst thing about it was it didnt need to be said.

Surely you are taking the piss? what complete rubbish... if you are going to make shit up at least do some research so you have an angle that is believable.
