Morahaghan could play 15 though I have never seem him. Hynes would be the better option - Luke is getting over the shoulder reconstruction so that may have some impact on positional play.
Someone said on another topic Qld have a good selection of backs - I beg to differ - there is no room at all for injuries and they could be very thin on depth very quickly.
Please don't recommend Blair Connor - not yet.
I saw Morahan playing at the back for Uni a couple of times and he seemed to acquit himself quite well. Big step up from club to S14 though. He is a damn good winger and that is where he he should be played while he is getting going at S 14 level.

RW - I have to disagree with you - admittedly proven specialist fullbacks are thin on the ground at the Reds, but every other position is more than covered. Look to a couple of last year's rookies to make a much better account of themselves in 2010 as well.

That sucks for McLinden. Next season was the season I was expecting big things from him. He was solid and a good tackle breaker for the Reds, it's a shame he doesn't get to play a game knowing it's his last.

i was watching the NPC GF replay tonight, jeez the 10 and 15 for canterbury showed some real potential in the match, does anyone know who played those positions?

Brett, the 10 is playing the Blues in the S14, Colin Slade was in the AB squad earlier in the year and would be 10 in any other team

So Brett is moving to the Blues? Probably a good move for him, with Carter back and Bateman liable to get the 12 gig ahead of him. The Blues are desperate for a good 10 to play inside McAslister too.

This year it was a bit of a merrygoround in the S14 with the Crusaders at 10 (without Carter) with Brett and Slade. Slade ended up on the wing by the end I think, due to the high injury toll in outside backs for the Crusaders. BTW, the Crusaders had pinched anoter young fullback (whose name I've forgotten) that looked like he had loads of potential as well.

Brett has a lot of potential, but really struggles for consistency. He's still a young man, though. This was his second year of S14? And Slade's first year?
