I reckon this is good for both Burgo and Aussie rugby. For the former the reasons are obvious, but I think it'll be good to have another young bloke, in Phipps, coming through behind Genia straight after the Cup. Keeps the youth movement going and puts us in a good position for when Genia goes for his tourist stint.

Great for Burgo and presents a good opportunity for the young halves on the rise to take a step forward. Having said that I will miss him immensely when I watch the Tahs

The only part of this story I'm not satisfied with is the "3 years" part. Probably means he won't be back with the experience he'll get OS.

Have we seen player return better from the NH than when he left. Please don't hold up Elsom. He isn't a shadow of his pre-ireland form. Carter played 2? games before breaking his ankle so he didn't get contaminated.

Just heard Burgess talking over the phone on Fox saying this deal had been confirmed since December and he's kept it quiet since then till now. I thought Burgo was very humble in his conversation, wish him all the best.

if burgess could pass a ball he could have been one of the best no.9s the game has ever seen.

Whoops...

Phil Kearns obviously doesn't realise Nick Phipps has already re-signed with the Rebels...

Good on him, he was never going to reclaim the 9 jersey and probably was going to be passed by Nick Phipps.

Bad news for the Tahs but bad news for French rugby as well. Toulouse was almost the only club not playing with too many foreigners.
Nicolas Bezy is a great prospect as a scrum half but I'm not sure he will have enough time to play, except when Top 14 and World Cup will be at the same time.
And we still have to see if Burgess can get along with Beauxis.
McAlister will play 12 instead of Jauzion who is getting old.

the tahs are a sinking ship... they dont have a good enough kicker to play the boring game they want. mitchel will be the only bright light but he will struggle without burgess and beale lookin for him

There could also a question mark on BB's future as well?
