Good news story from one of the minnow rugby nations.

Lithuania clinch record off All Blacks and Springboks
AFP said:
Lithuania has claimed the record for the most successive wins in Test rugby with an 18th successive win on Saturday.

The Baltic nation destroyed Serbia 77-5 to keep alive its hopes of playing in the 2011 World Cup and claim the record from no less than New Zealand and South Africa in the process.

The All Blacks and Springboks had previously held the record for most consecutive Test wins with 17 straight victories.

"It's great to achieve 18 successive wins and be the record holders, but we haven't yet achieved our goal," said captain Mindaugas Misevicius after the Nations Cup Division Three game.

"We want to qualify for the World Cup in New Zealand."
