Reds backs seemed to struggle adjusting to the altitude and the high balls..

Harris left a lot to be desired after his first performance at fullback, his goal kicking redeemed him though.

Rodney Davies plays with so much confidence, why a 85kg winger continues to run at 110kg with aggression bewilders me, he does it well though!

Im not about to criticise the ref because i thought his decisions were evenly split, however he was somewhat lacking in enforcing the rule of the tackler releasing the tackled player which slowed down the breakdown.

I only saw the 2nd half so I can't comment much on Harris - glad he kept kicking them over though which is great.

Davies is a pretty special player, I love seeing players back themselves instead of reverting to kicking (eg. Turner).

1500 ;)

Harris was shocking in the first half. Not a fullback at all. Now we know at least.

I think you can criticise a ref's perfomance without suggesting that he was biased in any way.

He was very inconsistent, and the breakdown in particular was hit and miss. Penalties for not releasing, then not, then doing it again and so on. Assistant refs poor on the offside for kick chasers too - more their domain than his. I reckon Munro is a very good ref usually, so I was surprised he was not at his best. The 2 YCs were fine in ruling, except Horwill's should never have happened.

Did Harris field a ball from fullback at all in the first half?
I think its a little premature to go judging him to much, it was his first game playing at high altitude, never easy task for a fullback.

Did you miss the one where he jumped in the air and aborted mid recieve?

He also had one bounce off his chest front on near the sideline, and I am pretty sure he dropped at least one in the 22.

Then again, it seemed practically no-one could mark a ball in the 22 for the reds early on.

that's what im saying, he didn't take it, i only remember him letting the ball bounce or go into touch

Oh right, my apologies.

He did make a couple of attempts I think, see above. But he didn't do anything particularly successfully; I know he did stuff up one attempted reception near the sideline, but there seemed to be half a dozen times where red players couldn't catch a ball in their own 22, I am guessing one of those occasions was Harris although I could be wrong.

he was just misjuding them it was probably his first game at altitude...

Cooper and Genia are my man of the matches, controlled game.

Harris goalkicking redeemed him
