Bought my tickets for Sydney today. Several AFL fans at work are hanging for February to buy tickets.they want to experience the event and are willing to pay for it.

Anyone know what to expect price wise for the tour matches? That is most likely going to be a more realistic option hopefully.

What will happen with this revenue after the Lions tour? After they have gouged the shit out of the rugby community, what will they put back into the rugby community?

Brumbies v Lions were $45 for bowl tickets (equivalent of silver). I don't how much the general admission or grandstand were.

I hear that the funds from the tour are being put towards finding James O'Connor a sensible hairdresser.

This video and the ARU's subsequent social media description of it, are a major issue for the ARU.

i would get ready for a sea of red again, if you think your prices are high you should check out what the cost of a tour is from the uk, i paid $450 a ticket for melbourne and sydney, just happy to be there, thats why you get out supported, we will pay what it takes to follow our team win/lose or draw the fans always come, thats why you love us, no matter what you say the uk has the best most loyal fans in the world...

Not just the UK (It's British and Irish Lions), I have plenty of Irish friends over here that are looking for tickets.

Moved out here in 87 so never had to dodge that bar of soap, can't speak for the Pom though.
1987? by the look of your photo you would have been pretty young in 1987. You've been in Australia 25 years and you still support Ireland? Come on, time to get gold fever ;)

Well my dad and any relative on his side of the family would disown me if I didn't support Ireland. My grandfather played for Munster and two of his brothers also played for Munster and Ireland.

Do support Australia against everyone but Ireland/Lions.

IRELAND captain Brian O'Driscoll will move heaven and earth to win a place on next summer's Lions tour, but has absolutely no interest whatsoever in touring if it means leaving Australia a "loser" again.

O'Driscoll, who also says he would be happy to serve as captain again if required by coach Warren Gatland, has already been on three tours with the Lions and tasted bitter defeat in five of his six Test matches.

"If you said you can get on the trip to Australia, but you are not going to win the series, I would have no interest in going," said O'Driscoll in Leicester last night where he was starring in 'An Audience With' TV special to be broadcast over Christmas. "I have already done three tours. The only reason to go on another Lions trip would be to win the series, to do something that I haven't experienced before.

Interesting reading coming out of Ireland and England today about what O'Driscoll had to say about the Lions tour.

Fuck it. I'm getting in early, I'm predicting a 3-0 whitewash to the wallabies. You heard it here first.

Thoughts on a potential Wallaby team for the first test? (If all players are fit). Below is what I'd love to see:

1) Robinson
2) Moore
3) Alexander
4) Horwill (C)
5) Timani
6) Higginbotham
7) Pocock
8) Palu
9) Genia
10) Cooper
11) Ioane
12) Barnes
13) Ashley-Cooper
14) O'Connor
15) Beale

Most likely, with McCabe to start at 12 depending on who the Lions centers are. That would be the only consideration I would make when picking Barnes. It's not like Deans is going to give any one there first test cap vs the Lions. I think a few more players should have got a shot on tour, (Neville/Pyle) At least one of them should have got a test cap.
