Well the 2009 2nd test was one of the most brutal games of rugby I watched for a long time. Physical and brutal is not the Aussie way of playing. They always tries to outsmart their opponents.

And one of those rare occasions where you can walk away from the game knowing immediately that you have just watched a piece of history being made.

Definitely one of the greatest rugby games of my lifetime.

It was. The Great aspect of the Lions are they are adaptable and if they need to take you on phiscally they can or if they need to take you on more loose they can do that. 2001 they tried to beat the Aussies at their own game. 2009 South Africa.

Thanks rassie, will watch later.

JSRF I tried last year typing in for the abs v eng game, tons of stuff came up but not THE one, I prob did not have the right search terms so yeah, I know it would be there but without knowing the exact terms it's a bit hard to track down. For me at least.

Here you go

Tip when you search.

Home teams name first in the case England vs the touring country in this case New Zealand and then the year

So it will be England vs New Zealand 2012 in the search.

If you search All Blacks you will get mostly the highlights of games

If you know anyone who didn't enjoy that 2nd test from 2009 (SA v Lions) the best thing you could do for them is give them an NRL brochure as maybe Rugby isn't for them.

This time last year I would have agreed with you fully, not so sure now.

Unless they were from different ethnic backgrounds, the wanderers fans sure had a good set of lungs.

Add to that the lone Wallabies supporter at the Melbourne Test in 2001 who, when the tide of the match turned, belted out to the tune of "Bread of Heaven":

You're not singing
You're not singing
You're not singing anymoooooore

This whole "Lions are just big pussies" seems a bit fraught to me... It seems to invite unkind suggestions of what Wallabies 'just are'... (easy work, really - you don't need to be shakespeare)...

I think we should welcome them, praise them to the hilt, make them feel at home, offer up provincial stew, and complement them outrageously... and then assassinate them in Test Nos. 1, 2 & 3.

It might be really bad form on my part but part of me would love a Lions whitewash! just to clean out a few things.

Well we all know that the 2 people to cop the blame if the Wallabies lose is going to be Deans and Izzy because he is not ready for international rugby.

I think Mogg should be fullback but I've found write izzy off at your own peril

Take it easy on these Lions people. They may not be all there up top as they drink their beer hot.
