The Marky Marky chatter is continuing today after his great game over the weekend.

I think RA have more than a punchers chance to bring him back for the RWC. If we lose badly 0-3 to the Lions, I reckon it'll be even more likely they'll sign him up to some crazy contract in an effort to move the needle in 2027.

Not sure overpaying for another back is a great business decision though. I was actually quite impressed with Potter and Jorgo against Fiji for starters.

He said he's interested in Rugby and it's the WC. If Rugby can't get him for that I don't think we'll see him again.

The difficult part is going to be that he will be getting offers around the 700k mark from the Roosters, Bears and PNG + others. Can Rugby do that for a Winger especially when we seem to have a decent group of them at the moment. I know he offers attributes others don't but it's a lot of cash that could keep guys like Jorgo in Aus and Rugby. Also money that could be used for someone like Petaia when Centre is a depth issue in Aus.

Its hard to say we should hold out in the chance that Jordan may return back to Union, there's a risk you run that Jordan stays in NFL as well.

Given we have bugger all size in our backs, I'd be inclined to entertain the idea of Mark returning. Given Jorgo has struggled to put a chain of games under his belt without being injured, you probably need to assume we will have blocks where he is not available.

Having the likes of JAS and Mark contesting kicks should create a lot havoc and pressure as well.

Jorgos injury this year was one that would have taken anyone out and was an unfortunate tackle getting his ankle twisted. He hasn't struggled with head knocks or repeated soft tissue injuries. His record over 3 seasons isn't too bad considering a broken leg is there as well. Only 20 so he'll only get stronger and already looks to have put on size.

Des to announce his retirement as a kind way of dealing with both parties wanting out of the relationship.

All squad members from 20-30 on the depth chart are for sale. Is Carter worth a shot? Yeah, but for who....

I don't see another NRL wanting him when he's played only a couple of State Cup games.

he also just welcomed his first child with his partner, so you'd assume wants to stay local.

Really depends on the price he's asking - there's room at the Reds squad right now for another 10/utility, but not really a lot of money to spend on one, unless maybe McLaughlin-Phillips isn't re-signed, but I doubt he's on a lot yet. Unfortunately for Gordon the best way to slot him in is paired with Henry at 12 to handle the place kicking (and lean on the Wests connection), but it's hard to see the Reds going with both in the same squad, given their injury history. All the other (reliable) place kickers at the Reds are out and out 10s.

I think with his injury and no real form to evaluate he’d be starting at square one. If he wants to continue his vocation as an athlete he may feel that he needs to take the highest offer which will likely not be that high.

There's room for a 10 at the Tahs....

Easier for them to balance with Sua'ali'i being a competent place kicker too, but I suspect they've got the same issues with finding any decent amount of money under the cap space for another back. It also doesn't help much if he's keen to stay close to home.

we won't loose any match because of our wingers, and Marky Mark (Nawaqanitawase)'s workrate is the issue, he had one decent season of rugby before reverting to waiving for the ball on the wing
