Nonsense.
Easy answer. COmpletely different approach. Balls went ot back of the line out, rucks were cleared quickly, two first receivers, Steyn passed, limited pick and go.
Reason why teams do the pick and go is cause its a slow ball tactic. Doing it a lot mean you are receiving a lot of slow ball. Which as you stated they clear the rucks better.
They can clear the rucks all they want its still not going to change the fact that they are predictable and Steyn stands too deep. There was one moment when he was under pressure where he had to give it to Visser I think it was to clear. Now that is the problem with him. He needs time to think. They even created a extended ruck once to give him some time. Yes that why they developed that Conga or whatever you call it ruck for Steyn to have time. They are still trying to attack from deep and the Kings didn't help their own cause by kicking the little possession they had away. For 53 minutes really the game was competing with Knitting competitions in Baberton for the amount of excitement. Was really the Kings that was more lack luster than the Bulls actually changing a game plan. The Bulls fax you their game plan and tell you to try and stop them.
They still played their usual play for territory kick and chase style game where a whoppig 72 percent of those kicks did not find touch. Cause Steyn can boot the ball better and the Kings who had only 39 percent possession managed to make 40 kicks with it. Yet it took them over 50 minutes to score another 2 tries.
The Vermaak try they did something unexpected. They thought Steyn was going to kick and Catrakilis dropped and they played it wide sucker punched them. Why don't they do the unexpected more? As for line out and 2 balls went to the back for them.
But its stuff like this I feel throwing a beer can at the tele. Look at this 3 man overlap and what does he do? He pass it to the mug next him to crash it up
