Here Here Gel. if anything I think this is all the coach's fault

Apparently this is a snap shot of RG addressing the Reds post game last week. He was rambling on, something about "first you get the possession, then you gain the territory, then you win the set piece, then you get the try". Or something :p

In all seriousness this is a real kick in the teeth. I had a gut full of the drama last year & though I'm still a bit weary I was looking forward to the Super Rugby season. I liked Karmichael, this is very new so I'm waiting out for more info but it doesnt look good. And for the Reds, as Clarkie puts it almost every single game "that's not the start they wanted".

So if Titans players involved, instead of the Bali 9, can we start calling this the Burleigh (Heads) 3?

Personally I have a problem with the archaic approach our country takes to drug laws in that you have a bloke who has a successful career and is a role model and someone that seemingly contributes positively to our community, but his life is destroyed because of some minor recreational drug use. I realise that's a much bigger debate for another day but that's at the heart of my views.

Just as concerning is the way Hunt has been targeted by the CCC merely because of his high-profile. The CCC were presumably using their powers to investigate actual serious trafficking and when they discovered through questioning that well known footballers may have been buying drugs they decided to charge the footballers merely because it makes the CCC look relevant. I guarantee the CCC wouldn't be pushing minor charges against Joe Schmo. It's all politics.

This will be an extremely interesting serious of events.

The dates mentioned suggest Hunt could have been involved while at the Reds. It is simply a journalistic assumption it was while at Suns (although likely with GC connection).

Hunt captained the Reds last week and within a week charged with this offense. That's a big deal to me. Especially on top of all the 2014-15 garbage the organization has served up. The Reds are known of their apathy to all things of any importance and rewarding mediocrity so it's unlikely to happen
but I'd have no problem at all with coach and ceo going. And while (if the allegations are true) this definitely occurred during the negotiations. If it happened while contracted we should all demand they go. Living with your head in the sand is not an excuse. Coaches, ceos and leaders of all sorts have lost gigs for less. Not to mention both men decided this is the type of character they wanted to lead the organization.

As for Hunt, I think even if he is found to be innocent, he is gone. I don't know about you guys but I've never been charged with anything like this. It tends to to happen to people who aren't at least on the fringe of this stuff. Remember Hunt and the others charged weren't the targets. In the operation looking at others, they found enough evidence to go after and charge these 4. Have to be doing something wrong to get to that point.

So what? The poster was making a moral judgement of drug users based on the "ill effects" drugs cause. Might as well start with the big one, if you're going down that road.

The internal combustion engine has killed thousands of Australians and some would allege that the emissions of such have caused untold and irreparable damage to our environment. Everyone uses them and they are a major factor in the dominance of the human species on our planet. In a remarkable irony, it could contribute to the end of all civilisation as we know it, yet it is legal and embraced by nearly all 6 billion humans on the planet.

Alcohol does damage to communities and individuals, as does other chemical substances. The line should be drawn at what is determined to be legal vs illegal substances.

Personally I would love to see the decriminalization of all drugs, I am in the minority in my moral judgement.

But Cocaine is illegal, that is why he gets to court.

Alcohol is legally within acceptable boundaries, which is why I drink and don't snort

The ill effects argument is an employment issue for both drugs, these units are employed for their physical prowess, any reduction in performance is an issue for management

the Titans were chasing Hunt's signature (with 'help' from the NRL) prior to the Reds snagging him. Seems like the Titans and the NRL both dodged a massive bullet. Oh, hang on...

Agree entirely - its not like legal substances are trouble-free after all. Why waste police and health resources on minor drug users?

Instead, get the government to grow the shit and tax it. Ensures clean supply and income.

Great we don't have enough trouble with alcohol so let's have people full of drugs as well.
