Quare geography ye have round your way, boyQs...

A man who wants rugby to be played under the rules of GAA should STFU. Simple enough for you?

Given I appeared to be the only one who knew the law - note, rugby has laws - I'd suggest you wind your neck in before telling others to shut up, pet.

And we'll leave that one there, Scarfie, agreed?

1. You were not the only one who knows the Law - you were the only one who quoted the Law. The two are different.
2. I have never written "rules" with respect to rugby. Please show me where I so did. I have passed several exams on the Laws. Can you match that?
3. You suggested that Kearney should not have been penalized for his shoulder charge on Elsom because such an act is legal in GAA - and I don't give a stuff whether that august body applies rules or laws or has neither.

Wrong. Read that thread. I said Kearney should have been penalised. I said I was interesting he reverted to GAA under pressure.

Now, if you're just going to ignore what people actually say in favour of shit-stirring, and won't even let it lie when given the out, well, it's a fair yardstick.

Yeah, you conceded a little.

Checked up on the law on this. It's illegal to make contact unless you try to use your arms. Note, try. Debatable whether or not he does. On balance, I'd reckon a penalty, but no more.

However, I completely disagree with your reckoning. Deliberate foul on a ball carrier five metres from the goal line is absolutely deserving of a penalty try and a yellow.

If your reckoning is correct, Australia should have been awarded a penalty on halfway after the conversion?

And none of this changes the fact that ye blew a game ye had sewn up, even after we were th Still, how 'bout that silky NH backplay that meant you were under the cosh for the last ten...?

I thought that the derided and despised chumps of the 3N had earned a draw against the Champions of All Europe in their own backyard?

Gentlemen, gentlemen, back to your corners, please. We're starting to chew up a bit of goodwill here. How 'bout we move on.

Interestingly, the Ireland Defence coach doesn't seem to go with your point T78:

It was a classic Test at Croke Park between Australia and Ireland and this week Rocky Elsom and Les Kiss look at the match from opposing viewpoints.

The Grand Slam dream is over for the Wallabies and Ireland’s unbeaten run stretches to nine.

Although both camps disagree about who should have won, they both concur that Wycliff Palu’s hit on Rob Kearney was a legitimate tackle.

Ewen McKenzie reviews the other big test matches across Europe including France’s upset win over South Africa which he forecast.

Our In-Depth Analysis this week brought to you by bobdwyerrugby.com is PHYSICALITY.

Inspired by Wycliff Palu’s big hit last weekend, Physicality deals with preparing your players for the impacts and hard slog each week.

Once again it is a masterclass of the highest order by our coaches and a must listen for students and coaches of the game.

Deans doesn't openly go out of his way to criticize the ref's though. He's very diplomatic and likely isn't letting that shoulder charge get in the way of how horrible our line-outs and kicks were.

I reckon its about time to lock this one. We know Kaplan is a bit bipolar as a ref, and we know from other threads that no ref has known jack shit about scrums since Gus Erickson retired.

Bring back Dr. Roger Vanderfield I say - I don't care how old he may be he would still have to be a better option.
Thyat man truly had the respect of everyone - players, spectators and officials never a discouraging word said about him.

Got a shovel, whispers? From where Roger is now he won't get much wrong.

:'( :'( :'( I wasn't aware. he was a very very good ref and always had time to ref school games during the week.
We had the pleasure of him and Warwick Cooney and Roger was by far the best ref in Aus and probably the world for a long time - Cooney - what can you say - precurser to Kaplan and Jubert.
