I certainly can't criticise the guy for putting his family first.
The line about having his coaching prospects blocked while he was here in Australia - really? I can't imagine heading back to Sth Africa under these circumstances improves his international coaching prospects.

I think the Pumas are his most likely option. Probably getting back into SA rugby would help that given they conference are/might join. To my understanding the most reliable rumour is that he will take some type of side kick role at the Sharks? Meaning he could be setting himself up like Link did, in that he's involved with a super rugby franchise but can down tools at any moment to take up an international coaching position.
Another view, be it very cynical is that he has produced a minor miracle at the Brumbies and that it would be very hard to better this in 2014, therefore he is cashing out whilst his stocks are up.
But hey.....it's all hearsay/speculation/deciphering messages from my plate of wontons.
