However the amount of turnovers was farcical.

The lack of basic back-line skills meant it was impossible to build momentum.

Seriously how hard is it to teach basic catch and pass skills?

On top of it all, the referring was completely inept.

Canada have the makings of a good side, their decision making and match awareness let them down - as did the standard of the officiating. With a semi-competent referee that could have been a fantastic game of rugby, instead we're all left frustrated and wondering why.

It's frustrating to watch some of these really good games being spoiled by some really bad officiating...........

Stuart Berry doesn't seem so bad right now............

What an injustice. Abysmal officiating. Canada should have won anyway, but it's just a disgrace.

The man is completely incompetent. Makes laws up as he goes along and has no feel for the game. Was so obviously trying to give the Tier 1 team every chance. I've watched every game so far and that was the worst refereeing performance of the tournament so far.

Clacny should not be allowed near a rugby ground with a whistle.

Bingo! Exactly the problem. Imho, and also a result of a fractured provincial system. Canada rugby needs a complete overhaul in the administration.
