Spoke to some Oakhill parents. They are quietly confident this week. They are aware that St Augustine's has its two starting locks, loosehead prop and outside centre missing due to injury. Apparently all these players were selected/played for ISA ones (with the exception of one of the locks who has been out since very early in the season).

umm where did they get their information from?
1. Tom Letharby is out with a Dislocated shoulder
4. Mitchel Hanigan is out for the season with a shoulder reconstruction

A very physical and open game at Rat park today between Auggies and Oakhill. Auggies eventually ran out winners 36(6 tries)-15(2 tries) after being behind 10-5 at half-time and 15-5 early in the 2nd half

Great game of rugby, in the balance till well into the 2nd half. Congrats to Augies who were too good on the day

Hello No-Name
Was at the Oakhill versus Auggies game. I asked a Auggies parent who was out for them (after my earlier info from Oakhill parent). In addition to the 2 you mentioned (Leatherby and Hanigan - both selected in ISA ones) , a lock, Matt Phillips is out for the season with a shoulder injury and likewise the ISA One's outside centre- Louis Anderson. They would also love to have Manly u/20's hooker Luke Vescio available, but he has only been available a couple of times and has also just been selected in Australian Schoolboys for league. I am not sure where they would fit Hopoate into the run on side if he were eligible.

Interesting final round in the ISA:

2nd V 3rd (Oakhill v Kinross) with the winner coming 2nd and the loser 3rd (with a remote chance for Oakhill, should they win, to come equal 1st);
7th v 8th (St Pats v St Pius) with the loser collecting the wooden spoon; and
4th v 5th (St Gregs v Stannies) with the winner claiming 4th spot.

Pius are playing St Andrews next weekend aswell due to their game being washed out at the start of this term.

pius 1st XV went down to pats 40 or so to 7. 20 points conceded when 2 pius players sent off. pats v pius rivalry seems to becoming more and more one sided every year. pius taking out the glorious wooden spoon!

howd the other fixtures go?

The following table is not official but by my reckoning this is how the ISA table looks (with just the make-up game between St Pius and St Andrews to come):

Played Win Loss Wash-outs Pts For Pts against Bonus Points (>4 tries < 7 pts) Total Comp Pts
1.St Augustine’s 7 7 0 381 74 7 35
2.Kinross-Wolaroi 7 6 1 163 102 3 27
3.Oakhill 7 5 2 230 67 5 1 26
4.St Gregory’s 7 3 4 145 219 3 1 16
5.St Stanislaus 7 3 4 115 167 2 1 15
6.St Patrick’s 7 2 5 131 202 2 1 11
7.St Andrew’s 6 1 5 1 70 231 2 7
8.St Pius 6 0 6 1 45 218 0

Disappointed to see Oakhill drop back to 3rd after such a good season. Congrats to Kinross on losing only one game. Auggies the stand-outs. Good effort by St Gregs to finish in front of Stannies on bonus points.

Expect St Pius to have a better year next season with a good crop of 16's players coming through

From all reports a great season with Augustine's too good at the end of the day.

I know that next year there will be a number of good teams and with Oakhill having 10 returners plus 2 more that played off the bench from this year's First XV with most of their backline intact apart from fullback and fly half they will once again be up there. The surprise will be what Augustine's can manage to put together again as they are normally very well drilled and control the game well.....
