Is Oscar Cleary injured, dont believe i saw him in the game footage from the weekend, although i believe he is overated - still a great player who would benefit ISA rep team

Yes, not sure what from though. Game would've defenitely been different if he was playing. Stannies should count themselves lucky for that one.

I don't think stannies should be counting themselves lucky. Yes, clearly would have made an impact through the forwards which stannies dominated, but stannies backs were just way too classy for the Kinross boys on the day, no matter what I think the stannies boys would have got away with the win either way

The 1st XV team will not have a set bench, will get the 2nd XV players to back up. Very suprised Oscar Cleary KWS #8, and Dylan Tait SPX #3 weren't selected at all considering they both played ISA 1st XV last year.

Ok the end of the regular season is now done and dusted and it's certainly thrown up a few surprises. The top and bottom halves have been calculated (although I have no idea how things will work with the bottom half of the ISA draw. Will one team have to sit out a weekend?)

Surprise No 1 - Undoubtedly the performance of Pius 1s and 2s. They've threatened a lot over the past few years only to have been pipped at the post so it's really nice to see them crack the top three. It augers well for the group when the crossover games start and I'm predicting 3 from 3 from these two teams. Well done Chatswood!

Surprise No 2 - Pats in the Top 3. It would seem that the departure of two wonderful players from your opens team WILL NOT result in the collapse of a whole program! Ha! Who knew?? The boys in black have done really well this term and have turned a lot of heads in the process. Their 1s and 2s are in for a torrid three games next term but this will make them stronger rolling into ISA semis and finals.

Surprise No 3 - The overall competitiveness of the comp as a whole. There have been some big scores but all in all, every game in every grade has been hard fought. No team can take anything for granted each week and that's a great thing.

Below is the final table for this term and I look forward to seeing the schedule come out for next. There was some movement with Stannies overtaking Pius to secure 4th spot.

I dont know if there will be a program table posted anywhere next term but if not, I'll either make my own or steal @Ziggy 's one :)

Program Predictions Term 3:

I have no idea how to accurately make a call on this, so I'll take a swipe at it based upon speculation :)

Div 1:
1st - Waverley. It's hard to go past them to be honest. No real signs of weakness in any grade with their 1sts being the only anomaly.
2nd - Auggies by a hair's breath. The games to watch in this grade will be Auggies v Barker in the 16s and Opens. If one of the Junior Augs can jag a win (say in the 13s) then I think they'll carry the day
3rd - Barker's 3 undefeated teams speak volumes about where they are BUT it's in the Senior ages only.
4th - Oakhill is not far behind Auggies in any age group, but the matches against Barker and Knox will determine the outcome here. Barker had a solid win against Oakhill in 1s at the start of the year but that was a long time ago.
5th - Knox will find it tough going in the Junior age groups against the ISA Boys. Where Auggies are weak in the 14s and 16s, Pats and Oakhill are strong.
6th - Pats will have their work cut out for thewm int he Opens but the 13s, 14s and 16s will aquit themselves well. Capable of an upset for sure but I think the plan will be to use these games to sharpen up for the ISA semis.

Div 2:
Things get a bit all over the shop here so I'll just say....
Trinity, Stannies, Pius, Cranbrook, Gregs, Kinross and Aloys (with a predicted 3 from 3 from Pius 1st XV)

I wouldn't put money on any of the above!!!

I guess its a question on whether one is looking at 1sts only (where Waverley has narrow losses to both Barker and Knox) or the whole of school table.

Pius Trinity 1sts in the Black Div should be a good game

Oscar Cleary was chosen as a second rower, however due to an injury (which is why he didnt play against Stannies) he was unable to play

Yes I suspect it will be us making the competition tables and not cas or Isa.

I think for the purpose of the concept (and what we've all been looking at), then we should prioritise program first and 1st xv results second.

Trinity v Pius is going to be a belter of a game. Highlight of the comp for mine.
