Heard this too! Rumour going around is that he’s got a hit list for the season. Hes got his eyes set on Nick Hill, Joe walsh, and Nathaniel Thomas. Lekenna’s in for a big season this year, playing two years up in the first. Very excited to see this up and coming talent perform on the big stage.

Oakhill 42-41 Barker.

After a strong start with an early 7-0 lead, Barker showcased their prowess in the final 15 minutes of the first half, scoring multiple tries to surge ahead 21-7 at halftime.

The game began to balance out at the onset of the second half, yet Oakhill's backline, featuring star players such as Darcy Feltham, Mitch Holmes, Joe Harvey, and Max Gioiello, sparked Oakhill's resurgence with a series of impressive tries.

Throughout the match, Luke Alderson's skill and effortless decision-making were evident as he orchestrated back-line plays at timely stages and showcased an impressive kicking game. Flynn Farrell, a rising star, pushed Oakhill into a 6-point lead with his try with 5 minutes remaining.

However, in the dying moments, Barker managed to score, and the pressure was on Poynton to secure the win with a kick from 30 meters out, 5 meters in from the sideline. Despite a mistimed early charge down by Oakhill runners on Poynton's initial attempt, which narrowly missed, a second opportunity was given to him. Unfortunately for Poynton and Barker, the kick missed its mark, sealing Oakhill's remarkable comeback victory on a very important game for the Oakhill Rugby Community as a whole.

Wow. Just wow. That sounds like an absolute cracker of a game and it sounds like this very impressive Oakhill side will be a force to be reckoned with this season. In addition to this, Auggies unfortunatley were forced to cancel all planned fixtures against riverview due to all northern beaches ovals being closed. But they did manage to get a last minute game in for the 1sts and 2nds against Joeys this afternoon. With the 1sts coming away with a strong 33-12 win over Joeys 2nds as well as the Auggies 2nds getting up 31-5 over Joeys 3rds I believe. In addition to all of this Auggies have set out their itinerary for they're second ever Sanix tournament in Japan which is now only 2 weeks away.

Would love to hear about any scores from other games.

Very accurate write-up - well done. Yes it was an impressive hitout for the Oakhill lads yesterday against the boys that don red. Very much so a younger and elusive team for Oakhill this year. It was an exciting spectacle to see some of those younger successful grades in Oakhill juniors ascend into the 1st XV, and they did not miss a beat. Going toe to toe with a Barker side consisting of some of the best players in the country and winning is something that should not go unnoticed. Exciting stuff coming from Oakhill this year, with plenty of players returning from rep rugby league and injuries alike, hopefully they will flourish and push some of their harder trial opponents and the ISA favourites in Auggies.

On another note, I hear Joeys 2s vs Auggies was quite an underwhelming show of strength from the Auggies boys who only play Joeys 1s in a few weeks time, could anyone provide some further info on that matchup and how they were? Considering last year's efforts and the amount of returning players you would think they would account for the Joeys 2nd XV quite easily, although they do have the player depth of the Mariana Trench behind them. I do understand it is early days in the long rugby calender so take this game with a grain of salt.

Fields looked to be immaculate out at joeys and the Auggies boys were grateful to get a game in after the drenching we got over the weekend. The Auggies boys looked to be in 2nd gear for the majority of the first half, scoring I believe 2 tries. I might also add their Gen Blue number 9 and another starter were out of the game. In the 2nd half they sharpened things up some amount and put together some long range tries through their electric backline. All in all I don’t think they got really going in this game however they are off to Japan in 2 weeks, then to come back and face Joeys 1s. Final score 33-12 Auggies W

Some holiday trial news. Oakhill will be hosted by Riverview on Saturday the 27th of April. So far information tells me the games will be as follows:
- Oakhill 1st XV vs Riverview 1st XV
- Oakhill 2nd XV vs Riverview 16A or Riverview 2nd XV (unsure as of now)
- Oakhill 3rd XV vs Riverview 3rd XV

Couple of weeks of rest then schoolboy rugby is well and truly back.
