Hey #sweetchillination! Here is my Spicy takeaways from this weekends fixture between Stannies and Kinross.Unfortunately I can't be everywhere at 3:15pm on a Saturday (although I am finding my whole Saturdays are for the boys recently).
Stannies vs Kinross
This game was a travesty for rugby West of the mountain. The lack of competition between the two sides were shocking. The match certainly didn’t live up to my expectations as sauce of the round. After they beat Pats at the beginning of the year it's been a slippery slope for the Orange natives as they have been defeated by Oakhill and Greg's. However the silver lining was still there as Donnie Freeman shined putting his pedigree to good use. From the Stannies side the big three of Bo“and Arrow” Abra, Yool “You’ll” Yool and Hunter “Hospital” Ward are carrying the side (maybe to a Premiership). Yool was in form performing his signature Larry Bird ankle breakers while Mr Abra was hitting the smaller Kinross Pack for fun and Hunter was picking off ball carriers with ease. Overall a bit of a boring encounter but great to see at least one side over the mountain in good form. Kinross really need to lift their game, it almost seems like they expect one player to do everything for them...

#sweetie - I agree - the game failed to live up to expectations. The stannies boys took a while to warm up - but when they did we got to see some good rugby.
But #sweetie I think I need to correct you as I saw the great Don Freeman on the sideline in a moon boot! I hope this resolves itself quickly whatever has occurred as the Rep season starts over the next few weekends.
This coming weekend will test whether Stannies can keep their 'stuff' together and not lose their heads. It will also test The KWS as they have to split across the two campuses - their bench was useful on the weekend from the seconds and they will miss these impact players.
I'm not too sure which game you were watching but Donny Freeman was on the sideline in a boot, the standout loose forward for Kinross was their number 8 I believe.

I must apologise for my earlier mistake which was pointed out by my fellow bloggers Dr. ISA and Bulldog43 regarding the 7 from Kinross. My eyes must be going as I could have sweared that was Donnie! Pardon my Spanish but#WhotheSalsa was the seven for Kinross that guy has some serious potential for mayhem and destruction. A player profile of him from one of our Orange friends would be extremely helpful (did he come from 2nds or 16’s?). This may be controversial but I think Don “is Don is good” Freeman could find it difficult to regain the 7 jersey! Although Donnie is an absolute freak, and hopefully he will be back on the paddock as soon as possible. I really believe higher rep honours beckon for the young lad! I also agree with the comments that the No.8 was good but unfortunately with a loss as big as the one suffered on the weekend there wasn’t many positives coming from Camp Orange (besides from the gun unknown 7)

The 7 from the weekend has been in the 1st XV the whole season, just playing at 8. In my opinion he is a better 7 than 8. From the team sheets his name is Oskar Mitchell and correct me if I'm wrong but he's in the ISA opens squad?

Hot Chips for Round 5 ISA
Hey #sweetchillination!
Can you believe it is time for Hot Chips already!!! Some really great matchups this week, should be another great round for the ISA community. Here are my predictions for this weeks fixtures.
St. Gregs vs Kinross
Without hesitation this one takes my secret sauce of the round. Both teams sit on the bottom half of the ladder but both have potential to move up the ladder. I know it has been mentioned earlier but this topic makes my sauce a bit sour. I just think it is completely wrong that the round it is split between Gregs/Pius… how is it fair to Kinross or any school really? The only schools who benefit from this arrangement are Pius and Gregs. With this taken into consideration my tips is Gregs will win as Kinross won’t have the impact off the bench which they usually enjoy. Prediction: 24-21 Gregs.

Wowweee I am looking forward to travelling East of the Mountains for this match-up. There is no doubt about it Stannies are absolutely dominating the ISA competition this year. But to be honest this is no surprise considering the Big three the team has been blessed with; Bo “ HoHoHo Merry Christmas ” Abra, Yool² and Hunter “Casualty” Ward. All three of these fine gentlemen will most definitely be knocking the door down for Australian Schoolboy selection later this year with Bo in my opinion the hot favourite to Captain the side to the UK this year. I am interested to see St. Pats play as I have heard they are a team with some great potential but just can’t get over the line. Unfortunately, this always seems to be the case for boys from Strathfield. I feel this match will be tighter than what the form guides would suggests but I am expecting Stannies to get some revenge after their loss last year on Breen. Prediction: 33-24 Stannies.

The Sauce of the round for me, the historical Powerhouses of the ISA. Granted the performance of Oakhill in recent games has been average but this match is always an absolute ripper!I have heard rumblings that the pack from Oakhill are firing with there big barnstorming prop Cameron “Costly” De Costa making metres for fun. I also have heard their fullback can run rings around any defensive line. Auggies I believe will struggle much like they did against Stannies with a Proper rugby team. Thats right I’m calling an upset in this one 21-26 Oakhill.

It’s that time of year, Origin time! Who wouldn’t be excited for the big game tonight????? I will tell you who...ME! Watching Greg's play is enough Rugby league for me to handle for the year. To be quite honest with you I will be spending my evening with the Missus tuning into Channel 10 watching my three amigo’s Matt, Gary and Notorious Bad Boy George on Masterchef. Tonight, is the team challenge which will be far more entertaining than that boring Origin fixture tonight. Prediction: Blue team to win the team challenge 2-1 in a tight one, winning the best entrée and dessert.

I think your tips are pretty close to the mark in how I would see this round going. Here's my take:
Pats v Stannies
As we have seen Stannies are the dominant force of the ISA season while Pats have done what they have always done well - be competitive but always seem to fall short. There is a good chance they may have some of their key players return from injury this week and they will be needed in order to stand up to the Bathurst juggernaut. Playing on Breen always seems to make the games closer. Stannies by 15+
Gregs v Kinross
Good luck Kinross. I hope you win. I'm completely over Gregs' presence in this competition. I don't know who will play for them or how good they will be making it hard to pick. Who knows... Carn the boys from Orange Kinross by 5
Auggies v Oakhill
Most seasons this would be a top of the table battle of kings but Oakhill are clearly not as good as previous seasons and Augustines should come out on top quite comfortably. The close rivalry these schools have may spark somehting from the Oakhill boys so I believe it will be a close one. Auggies by 10.

Stannies 48-st pats 13 FT. The boys from Bathurst should have won by more but their discipline was, quite frankly, pathetic. Looks to me the Stannies forwards have been reading the press too much and are getting a bit ahead of themselves. Continual infringements and talking back to the referee cost them today. If they just kept their mouths shut, played with discipline and kept their heads they would have won by more. Abra spent time in the bin - poor form from the skipper. Based on today's performance they'll struggle against Auggies in 2 weeks time. I honestly can't see how they beat Auggies in Round 1 based on today's hit out. My prediction after Round 1 is looking shaky.
As per normal St Pats were enthusiastic but lacked skill, size, pace etc etc ... Not sure where the boys from Strathfield go to from here. After 5 rounds I don't believe any St pats opens team have had a win. Concerning to say the least.

Stannies
Always willing to put their heads where no one else will, hence the serious lack of teeth, often scaring their opponents. Good job beating Auggies.
Score: 9/10
Auggies
Consist yearly performers. Seem to consume all the talent in the Manly/Brookvale area - someone must be tickling Bob Fulton's balls.
Score: 8/10
Oakhill
The boys from Castle Hill don't seem to have the same strength as previous seasons. Must be changing priorities from training to pretty-boy haircuts.

Kinross
Excellent playing fields. The lads love their half time oranges. Everyones second favourite team.
