Ireland v Wallabies, Saturday 15/11 (Sunday morning Aus time)

The Ghost of Raelene

Tim Horan (67)
If coaching doesn’t matter, why have we wasted money on Schmidt and going to waste more money on Kiss. Just hire a local taxi driver for minimum wage
Don’t think Kiss would have broke the bank. Local journeyman with no top tier candidates wanting the job. O’Gara whispered about it to probably shake the tree where he is.

The talent ain’t there to attract a top candidate to then deliver performances.

There are plenty of Green and Gold Rugby 'experts' who have all the answers!!

Not excusing him but I wouldn’t be surprised if this is a frustrated group of players on tour now.
Yeah I think we may as well do what France do and send out a lot of our squaddies, at least they might play like they have something to prove.

1. Ross
2. Nasser
3. Tupou
4. Salakai-Loto
5. Canham
6. Hooper
7. Tizzano
8. Samu
9. Lonergan
10. Gordon
11. Pietsch
12. Paisami
13. Ikitau
14. Daugunu
15. Kellaway

And load up the bench in case France phone it in and we look like we are a winning chance:

16. Pollard
17. Bell
18. Ala'alatoa
19. Frost
20. McReight
21. Gordon
22. Sua'ali'i
23. Jorgenson

I used to think that maybe we get some ridiculously talented young guys like Edwin Langi, Eamon Doyle, James Martens and Dre Pskeho into the Wallabies after the 2027 World Cup. Well … let’s do it right now… why wait?

I'm hopeful that part of the point of getting a cheaper option in Kiss is to build out a more complete coaching team with experience around him - we've been relatively light on in the Schmidt era, possibly an over correction to excesses of Eddie.

Hopefully. I can’t help but think RA will have to pay elite level salaries to attract mid level talent.

They are, it's World Rugby's own rankings making that claim. A big win against a poor, error ridden Wallabies outfit did precisely zero to debunk that claim.

they've lost twice this year

We are probably about to test what the player group achieves without a world class coach in charge.
Not to mention a few quality assistants like Cron and Parling who I feel both had a positive impact on our set piece. I'm not sure Donnelly or Ulugia have had as much positive impact since coming in. We don't seem to be as solid and/or consistent in those areas now.

Lock depth falls away w Skelton gone

Skelton brings impact, but truthfully I still feel that Frost is more important for some of the core roles like the lineout work.
