Aus forward pack was improved in all facets though still some issues with support play I think from some of them I thought the front row played well throughout and I thought kepu had a good game.
Ben mowen doesn't seem to have the power to consistently get over the gain line or maybe he starts from a stop and then is always going to get stopped in his tracks. I prefer him at 6, he just is not dynamic enough off the back of the scrum.
Genias decision making is bizarre at times. The box kicks off turnovers are just stupid. Go wide.
QC (Quade Cooper) and To'omua need to cut out those little do nothing grubbers. Very low percentage even when you don't kick it straight into your opposites leg.
So telling on cummins first try. The backs drift and drift and go nowhere then To'omua straightens and runs at the defence, draws them in and wham gaps open up. We were most effective in the backs when we took the defence head on and used good angles, and quick hands. A few cut out passes just fooled no one and only forced us up against the sideline.
Rest a few guys for Scotland - Moore, hooper genia and AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) off the bench.
With his defence, I'd try To'omua at 13. Runs hard. Great hands and can tackle. Folau looked deadly at fullback. Keep him there.
Agree on cummins over digby. Would be hard for JOC (James O'Connor) to get into this xv too

Well that was a really entertaining game and im glad i was up to see it.
The Wobs were good in all aspects of play. A few thoughts on the game:

- Great performance from the scrum. those are the types of performance we need to dispel the myth that we are weak at scrum time. Ireland rate themselves at scrum time and they were undeniably dominated in that area for the majority of the game. I thought Slipper was very good at LH. Lets hope for two more strong scrumming performances against the scots and welsh.
- This game does not help in settling the question of the starting 7. I thought Hooper was very good, but not MOTM worthy, as his infringements in the first half really dragged the Irish back into the contest. I was disappointed that Gill only got about 8 minutes of game time.
- Defense was another big plus. Granted the Irish attack looked a bit pedestrian at times, but part of that was from the pressure applied in defense. Good urgency off the line, good physicality. Ireland never really looked like scoring.
- The Forward play in general was very good. The lineout and the rolling maul were both operating well
- Quade Cooper.
- That back line is really a site to marvel. Unlike in the Deans Era (thank god that's over) we actually know how to score tries and im enjoying watching us play again. Add the likes of Spieght, JOC (James O'Connor) and Beale to backs already in the squad and we have a backline as good as any in world rugby.
- Horwill needs to go home and eat some Christmas ham and try to reset. He's just going through the motions at the moment. I'd leave him out of the 23 next week.
- Genia could also do with some time off. His performance was patchy at best

I'm with you. Since the 2003 the Wallabies have inherently dropped to the level of lower ranked opposition and failed to lift when playing the higher ranked teams. Correcting the former problem is necessary before being able to consistently address the latter one. Still some bad habits hanging around so they are only half way there, but that has to be seen as a sign of huge potential. I'm pretty excited about the 2015 RWC!
To'omua such a good defender for a 10, reads the play very well. Pulled off two cruicial tackles, one which led to a turn over just outside the Wallabies try line in the 2nd half.
I wish Kuridrani at times run the switch-back (unders) in side when To'omua or Cooper is drifting across. He would gain so much meters then at times drifting side ways waiting for the pass. Don't get me wrong excellent ball carrier and one on one very hard to contain. However, just something to add to his offensive belt.

Its not obvious, but there is a kernel of truth in what you say:
- Slipper was good last night. Although Robinson is a better scrummager, and it showed when he came on, last night Slipper was pretty good. Sipper has had some terrible scrum games too and it will be interesting to see Slipper against Jones in two weeks time. At Slipper's best, there's not a lot in it; I think Link's issues with Robinson's workrate are what is getting Slipper the start.
- Deans regularly selected TPN as the better scrummager and last night's display when we were down a man is a good indicator. But Moore's work around the park last night was sublime and right now he would still be first choice. Moore must be rested against Scotland though, he's had too much rugby this year.
- Kepu is much better than Alexander and I hope Alexander is on the bench for the rest of the tour. We are still improving on the tight head side but there is further to go yet to be world rated. Kepu's consistency (both scrummaging and around the park) must improve if he is going to hold off other alternatives.
- Ryan was good last night or maybe Ireland weren't good. Needs more time on the field to show it.
- Finally the penny seems to have dropped with the back five - everyone seems to have been told to push and keep pushing.

Big showing by the pack, especially Moore and Hooper. Great to see Slipper have a strong game at the scrum. Kepu provided more stability, it seemed to me, allowing Slipper to attack.

Defiantly, our forwards were much more physical last night but our use of kicking was terrible. If it was South Africa or New Zealand returning that ball we would of been in all sorts.
Our counter attack lacks ATM as well but saying that we don't try to much anyway. We kick. As badly

Still don't understand why Lilo is not going to 10 when Cooper is replaced. To'omua at 12 has been a revelation this year while Lilo's best play by far for the Brumbies was at 10 and he does not look comfortable at 12 for mine,
