I question that, I somehow think Moore would be a higher priority in terms of resting and to Alexander's credit he does seem pretty durable.

Maybe Moore is healthy though. The reports about Alexander are that he is not.

"Wallabies coach Ewen McKenzie has rested tighthead prop Alexander on doctors' advice"

I really don't think he has been dropped and I don't think it is a case of deciding he's overworked and just needs a rest. Presumably there is some injury concern.

forecast for Dublin is positive at this time. Google, harbinger of all knowledge, says so. Good news for the wobs.

I really hope our forwards come out fired up. If we can match Ireland's intensity we have the talent (even in the forwards) to win this.

But alas I can only see another lacklustre performance from our forwards and a narrow loss.

To the very least, the likes of TPN, Ryan and Gill should come on after half time and inject some enthusiasm in to our forward play.

If TPN gets through 20-30 mins this week I would start him verse the Scots.

fingers crossed Kepu performs well enough to have Alexander "rested" for the rest of the tour.

He should be told 10 minutes before the game that unless he wins man of the match, his contract is being torn up. His game against the Boks in Brisbane was fucking disgraceful and i'll need a long, long time to forget it.

My bet is that within 10mins he's walking around the field, and he'll then give away stupid penalties by pulling a McCaw at the ruck and then lying in the halfbacks way, with NOTHING actually pinning him down, and flailing around like a beached seal while looking right at the ref.

No personal bias there.

You could count the good performances by any of our props this season on the fingers of one hand and yet you continue your vitriolic attacks solely on Kepu.

Maybe you should calm down a bit and try and judge the performances of our props a bit more on merit rather than purely using your pre-existing prejudice.

Watch it again, focus on him, and him alone, and see if your blood pressure rises.

As bad as our prop have been this year, or even the last 5 years, i've never seen a performance as apathetic as that one.

As did McCabe running upright into contact, time after time. Hard to imagine To'omua or Lilo doing that.
This old chestnut.
Any time a 12 runs an unders line and there are no forwards right there, right now to clean out,You should know who to blame.
And they all have one number on their backs.

Doesn't matter what his body height was,if he had lower body height he would be on the ground and forced to release.

How can anyone see a 12 for being held up by 3 forwards, whilst our pigs are hands on fucking hips watching, and think it might be the fault of the 12?

Sure Kepu had a terrible game then but you could pick out the same from Slipper and Alexander multiple times this season.

I think your personal hatred of the player far outweighs the reality of his performances relative to our other props.

Your hyperbolic insults are pretty offensive against a player who has shown himself to be no worse than the other options.

I am not a big fan of Kepu by any stretch of the imagination, but your personal crusade against him seems far more based on a pre-existing prejudice than any sort of fair critique.

Now I know you watched through that test and posted every single involvement Kepu had or didn't have but I'd suggest you could come up with very similar things if you followed another player around for a whole game in which they performed poorly.

Maybe you'd care to review Slipper's game against England where in 60 minutes he made 7 tackles, didn't have a single run, didn't make it to a single ruck first and gave away a penalty and a free kick?

I may be wrong, but why do we concentrate our stats on who makes the ruck first when it seems that NZ count the number of times the players are among the first three into a ruck? Seems to me to be a fairer metric. But I also think there needs to be some subjective qualifying of the effectiveness of each involvement as well. Aussie locks seem to have a preference for hitting the ruck only to fall sideways and have little or no impact at all.

We need to convert Ant and Colby into props, and then we can have an all Fainga'a front row just for Brumbieman

Fair points, but the difference is, looking at Slipper, Alexander or any of the others, even if they have a shit game they still look like they actually give a rats arse, and break out of a slow jog at some point in the game.

7 tackles in 60 minutes: Kepu made I think 1 tackle, hit 3 rucks for absolutely zero positive benefit, got destroyed in the scrum all game, was penalised a couple of times and the ONLY positive involvement he had in the match was driving through a maul on our 22.

Now, if he'd had a game like that, but at least broke out of a slow jog at some point and looked like he even wanted to be out there, I wouldn't have been so harsh. There was one point where just after the 2nd half started, the ball was kicked into the Bok 22. Moore and Kepu were standing side by side, near halfway. Moore was the 2nd person to that ruck, and Kepu had barely made it past the 10m line, because he had walked. 2minutes after the 2nd half had started, so there isn't even the "I was buggered from 5minutes of hard tackling and breakdown work" excuse for it.

This is why I don't rate him, nor want him to wear the Wallabies jersey again. Even if you're useless, you should still be ACTUALLY trying to get to a ruck.
