Fucking terrible crowds.
Australia is fucking terrible at this sport. The chances of us winning gold at the Olympics is a million to one.

Why a serious 15's player would contemplate playing 7's is way beyond me, which is why the good ones, don't.

Was a great day out as usual. That's the fourth year we've been down, this year did the family thing and got dressed up with the kids and even dragged the Mother in Law down!!

Got to meet Liam Gill & won an Aussie 7's jersey.

Did notice there was no advertising on the billboards on the way down from Brissie as has been in the past. May have just missed them but thought there was less promotion this year than previous. Stil great day out, good weather great atmosphere.

Seriously? Why wouldn't they, if you're barely just cracking 15s you should look at 7s. The pay is getting more and more equal to 15s and it's far less work. 9 series a year + the odd big tournament. Travel the world for only 2 days work a week.

I reckon they should probably be allocated to NRC teams as well. Obviously they'll get released for any and all tournaments, but it would be nice to see.

Qwerty,
The pay is terrible compared to top players at S 15 with Wallaby representation. Players really seem to want to play S15 then Wallabies.

I do understand that if you are in the lower levels of S15 there may be some attractuiveness there.

Bit like a dark night at the movies with a skinfull - there's a lot of attractive people out there. - maybe 7's is the same:)

I thought that last try should not have been allowed. It resulted from what looked to me like an illegal pass by a player who had been tackled properly and who then should have released the ball. IMHO.

Scrubber - do you know what 7's players are getting paid? Interested to compare.

not really sure ATM - a while back it was something like $50K but maybe the top lads received more. It certainly wouldn't approach higher contracts in S15
