After pulling off the win over Fiji they'd better beat Scotland. We need to be a regular Cup quarter finalist if we want a guaranteed Olympic spot.

Great game against the Fijians, but did it look like the Aussie's were wearing a Blue & Yellow strip rather than a Green and Yellow strip?

Or is it just my shocking eyesight? o_O

That is one of the dumbest displays I have ever seen. Fiji literally threw it away. All they had to do was run it out, or kick it out. Anybloodything legal.

Good defensive structure the bedrock upon which Australia run out winners against Scotland 26-7. Clark showed good toe, straightening & scoring a double.

Interesting stat displayed during the telecast that Aust leads NZ as the team that has thrown the most passes over the 3 plus rounds of the series.

PS. Happy Australia Day!

And NZ beats Fiji in a game worthy of a Cup final. Shame it was in pool play.

Australia sneak out of the pool of death in Second place with a chance of making it into the Cup Final.

Happy Australia Day.

Late converted try to Samoa wins them the game 12-10.

Australia now play Argentina in the Plate Semi Final.

So close, but the reality is that we did not play well enough to warrant a Cup semi final berth.

Go Gold.

Looks like it will be a NZL v SAF cup final.

AUS v ENG in the Bowl Final. Game on.

AUS kick off. Maul. Scrum Aus feed. Penalty to AUS.

Turnover to ENG. Missed Tackle by Aus. ENG #6. Mitchell in under ther sticks. ENG 7 - AUS 0. 4:40 to go 1st half.

Cam Foley recovers kickoff, and Cam Clark scores in the far corner. ENG 7 AUS 5. 3:36 to go.

Eng recovers kick off. Jeff Williams scores after a big step and 3 tackle breaks. Eng 12, AUS 5. 2 min to go.

Lineout from kick off. AUS recovers the Gilbert. 5 phases and ENG penalised not releasing. Advantage ENG not 10 back. Aus retain Gilbert. 0:22 to go to oranges.

ENG penalised again, and Burgess sent to the naughty boys corner for a lifting tackle. Peter Schuster scores in the Right corner. Cam Clark (I think) adds the extras to draw the score at Oranges - 12 - 12.

2nd Half: ENG to kick off. Eng recover the ball. Ruck, move the the left, shimmey and show and go and Marcus Watson dots down under the crossbar. Converted. ENG 19 - AUS 12. ENG still have 1 in the bin.

ENG kick off. AUS have the pill. Ruck it up. AUS penalised at breakdown. 4:51 to go. Poms back to 7 players. From tap kick ENG play the angles superbly and Ellory strolls in under the black dot. Converted., ENG 26 - AUS 12 3:30 to go.

ENG kick off and nearly regather. Scrum to AUS. FK to AUS. quick tap Jeladev scores meat in the left corner. Unconverted. ENG 26 AUS 17. 1:45 to go.

AUS kick off. ENG have PK in their 22. Shannon Walker on.

ENG Lineout on the 10 metre line. Eng win lineout and take into contact and lose ball to Shannon Walker turnover - 50 metre run to score. Converted and it is a 2 point ball game. ENG 26 AUS 24.

Time is up. AUS kick off. ENG retain pill and kick it into the stands to win.

Plate Winner is ENG.

AUS made too many errors in defence - missed tackles, and not covering the angles. Not enough speed in depth. ENG made it easy for their kicker with most tries under the posts. AUS tries nearly all out wide making difficult kicks for Clark.

AUS unable to retain the ball and build pressure for extended periods. Did not take good advantage of the ENG sin bin. ENG played smarter game and deserved victory.

Boilover in 3rd/4th playoff game with Canada storming home in the second half to reel in then pass Samoa, winning 22 - 19 with a PK on the full time hooter.

Well done Canucks. I had them written off after their first half performance. What was said at oranges?
