Ioane the fashion trendsetter, first religous tatoo's now matching football attire..

Apart from looking pretty awsome, i do have to wonder about one small detail......
can you spot what it is?

perhaps that explains why this is the first game he's worn it. Had it hanging in his locker all season.

Usually it is to cover the brand. There may be a sponsorship conflict or he is trying to get a head gear sponsor.

As Matty said. They cover up the manufacturer but normally it is black tape on black headgear so it is not so obvious. They all do it and it is really noticeable once you look for it. The only manufacturer signs you will see on players are from sponsors.

All sports do this and some to silly levels. In cycling there is the old stories of star riders on teams who like another manfucturer's bike so they repaint and readjust to make it look like a sponsor's bike.
