The 2015 version is now all done and dusted, and it would appear that once again there were more positives than negatives arising.
NRC in 2016 will also not be competing against the Rugby World Cup for oxygen, although Wallabies will be committed to Rest, Team Rehab and the Spring Tour commitments and therefore will probably not be making much of an impact in 2016 NRC.
Huge positives were the Horan-Little Shield, the Barbarians XV, the Ballymore Kid promotion, the performances of the youngsters like Perese, Tuipoloutu, Jooste, Tuttle, Tupou, Havili, M Jones, etc, promotional theme days (food & beverage festivals), and the NRC Development Team curtain raiser matches.
32 pages of discussion on the "Ideas for NRC 2015" Thread also confirm that there is a good deal of interest in NRC.
Remembering that Australian Rugby is pretty much broke and doesn't have a lot of money to throw at the competition, if you were in charge, what would you change for NRC 2016?
Crowds (particularly in Sydney) were a little disappointing.
Social Media promotion could be improved from ARU and some of the Super Rugby Franchises.
Match Officials performances were underwhelming at times, but at least there were no "own tries" awarded this time around.
While there were less complaints about poor service at venues, the Food and Beverage options at some venues could be described as stodgy and unimaginative.
