Funny how people are talking up Larkham as a coach. He was slated on this forum and by some in the Sydney press last year (Lord and Spiro). From memory, they claimed that he was only appointed due to his father's involvement with the Brumbies. Looks like he can coach a bit.

I so hope Hooper can play next week. I don't think the tackle was that bad and he's quite an eloquent speakerperson so could talk himself out of it.

The SANZAR lottery continues...

It was no worse than Morahan's tackle last week on SBW which was an absolute farce...
Mate Williams landed on his back and Victor landed on his Head and shoulders. I wouldn't suspend him but with the way things are these days I wouldn't be surprised if he was.

Back of the neck? At worst...

Shoulder at best...

Unfortunately it was the closest to a spear I've seen this season. Here's wishing good luck

He will probably get a week or two, but hoping not as looking forward to the match up with Gill. Ironically Gill stepped up his running game last night, while having less impact on the opposition ball at the breakdown than usual.

its a bad tackle and a shame such illegality will rob us of a great match up next week. Regardless surely after being knocked out he should be rested for 3 weeks? It really was bad form of the Brumby doctors to allow him to continue playing. But I'd say he'll be getting a forced break anyway.

Reg,
Whilst true, I don't think it was as bad as watching Berrick or TPN stumbling around in recent times.

Hooper's hearing is on Monday and I might be able to stake out Brumbies HQ for an outcome.

It did seem that way to me too but I'm not a doctor and every situation is different.

Maybe there was something about the situation that alluded to the fact he was good to play on? Maybe... hopefully.

I think it will be a 2 week job.

It will mean we miss the great match up next week, but it will also mean that hooper will probably start the scotland test for the wallabies as he will be well rested.

I don't think he was ever knocked out. Shock from the impact had him dazed and off balance, the same way a boxer gets jelly legs, but he never lost consciousness to be knocked out. He's man of the match performance after alluded to him being good to play on.

He'll probably get 2 weeks for that tackle though unfortunately.

Pretty dangerous tackle even though it was only just off the ground. I reckon he'll get a big sentence (4 or 5 weeks) and get most of it cut down on technicalities. Hopefully he's back in 2 weeks. Or at least for the Wallabies games.

I reckon Hooper will go for that tackle and I think rightly too. The replay doesn't look great at all. What was just as bad was seeing him stagger off after making that earlier tackle.
