incredible performance from the Stormers, almost faultless. Pieterson, Habana and the whole forward pack bloody good. Stormers should win the trophy if they continue on like this

Favourites by a mile so far, can not see any side get through that defence. Unless the Crusaders start to click, no one will beat the Stormers.

Wasn't sure who to cheer for in this one until I heard the Highlanders fans booing the conversion attempt for the first Stormers try. After that I was up for the Stormers.
What was up with the Highlanders scrum early on? 1st two they went early and then they were lucky to get a pen on the next one when they didn't seem to take the hit causing a collapse.

Stormers are looking good at the moments but they need to keep it up, there's no point looking good in the middle of the season then falling away when it matters.

Very pleased with the Stormers play today. The fatty youngsters with Kolisi and Etsebeth one inch closer to the Bok jersey and sure the differense between this year and the previous years Stormers teams.

Also enjoyed Sam Lane's performance for the Reds.

Will take a bloody good team to unlock the Stormers defence, shit they looked great.
That man Etsebeth is a IRON (yster) , tough as nails , Elstadt ditto and taking them back in the tackle time and again. The Clan looked pretty physical fucked towards the end.

Fark me. Paarl you must be dronk soos 'n tor. (drunk as a skunk)

That was farken huge. And they get Schalk Burger back when back to SA.

The young props. How exciting are they? Kitshoff and Malherbe have every chance of being the Bok front row before long.

In fact Malherbe is to me the find of the season. Looks like a TH prop that can dominate in time. We haven't had one of those for a while.

Etsebeth is the business. If he is not Bok 4 I don't know...

Not convinced about Elstadt at 7 though. HE was good but lacks a bit in pace. What do you do when Schalk is back? Drop Kolisi? Surely not. He tackles like a demon,

Still to early Boet, have to get some coffee for the charge office coffee.

Kolisi is playing such good rugby at the moment, Schalkie will have to fight for his place and we havent see Carr played just yet. He sure is good aswell.

Malherbe is one huge prospect at the moment for SA rugby. Ginga sure is playing better each game but then we are well served with LHs.

Time to get that Coffee!

@Paarl - Stormers were unbelievable - such aggressive and well organised defence. Scary news for everyone else is that players like Habana are finding their mojo. Can't see anyone unpicking that defence at this stage. Their attack was handy too.
Enjoy that charge office coffee, boet.

It'll be some night at Suncorp on April 20. Reds getting key players back (or so we hear), Stormers looking fabulous, but Reds morale is rebuilding, won't want that Suncorp record shattered.

It'll be an electric night. And build up banter we'll surely enjoy with Paarl maybe just as electric ;-).

Can't wait!

So easy to see where the game was won and lost.

Dominant tackling. The Stormers pack smashed the Clan backwards whenever they tried to run it up. As the commentators said, first time Thomson and Manu were pushed backwards. Elstadt, Vermeulen, Bekker, Eztebeth and de Villiers all huge in defence.

And you know what, it's where the Aus teams are lacking and why we're alll doing so poorly. We don't make enough dominant tackles, too often passive in defence. Very evident in the Force game last night against the Chiefs.

Those young props are making a difference, Stormers were going great last year until the Crusaders smashed their scrum.

It's their title to lose with Burger coming back.

Agree with all about the Stormers. They've stepped up a gear since 2011 when the rest have stayed still. Very much the team to beat this year and the key to it is how stiff that defence is. They have allowed few tries and when it gets to the pointy end of the season that will have them in very good stead.

They are pretty even all across the paddock too, which is a good sign for them. Will be *very* tough to beat at Newlands.

Let us first get past the Crusaders. ;)

Stormers too good.

Unfortunately without Sopoaga or Slade, the team looks a bit rudderless. I hear that Mike Delaney is coming down, so that will give us a bit more direction. I always felt he was a bit unlucky to be overlooked in favour of Cruden and Slade for the AB's back up 10.

I don't think I have ever seen a pair of props tackling like the Stormers two last night. Absolutely incredible.
