I can't believe the Rebels were allowed to have blue as there most predominant color...

Why?

Vic teams are predominantly navy blue...

I do like the fact they added some red in there too...

The force probably shouldn't have hone with blue but maybe one day they'll ditch it?

All Aussie teams are blue.

Hell, the Wallabies jersey was blue before the reds ruined it for everyone!

Because the comp is full of blue jerseys and it's bloody hard to tell who is playing at a glance.

As slim points out, we're simply using official state colours. Navy blue has always been our colour state teams.

By and large, all of the Aus conference teams have followed state colours, with the exception of the western force.

Having said all that, I do agree a bit of variety in the comp is good. Thumbs up to the highlanders for going out on a limb to differentiate themselves. Speaks volumes about their new mentality and it seems to be translating into their performances on the pitch too.

I have mixed feelings about it as I do like the Highlanders colours, and it's great that they have 3 different kits...

I do wish the Brumbies would go back to using their 'heritage' jersey as their main jersey (although they need to fix it up) or something similar that isn't just mostly blue, but rather has a bit more of the gold and white in it...

Force went with Blue becasue it's the best. The yellow Force jersey posted on page one were being sold for $30 each at one of the games last year as opposed to $149 for the blue ones. Nobody wants them.

It is a shame the Higlanders have gone green, I like both their jerseys, now Brumbies, there is a team in need of a jersey makeover.

The current Brumbies jerseys would be fine if they didn't put those silly yellow rounded off bars on the shoulders...

And Kooga botched the heritage jersey when they made them and didn't stick to the original design... thankfully they're not as bad as last years...

Yes, it's true that overall blue is easier to sell, but then again there are many factors that come into it. An away jersey is always going to have less interest than the primary jersey. I don't own a Rebels away Jersey either, but that's not because I don't like it! And the Wallabies (and Aus sporting teams in general) have proven that yellow/gold can sell and it's ability to stand out in a crowd is also useful in itself. Bottom line is you don't know until you stick your neck out. For another good example of this, see Stade Francais!!!

Yep. The Force really should get rid of the blue to mix things up...

The Brumbies, Tahs or Rebels can't change their colours because they're all going with traditional state colours...

Well then, this calls for new colours on the logo, and a bit of cleaning up may I add.

Nice work Rugbyfuture!

If the Highlanders are going green, and keeping with the 'Highlander/Scottish' theme then I'm predicting something similar to Gordon...

Like Gordon, they could keep 2/3 of their colour scheme and go green, yellow and maroon/brown...

However I think that article mentions a light green? In which case that won't work, and I'm thinking ugly Canberra Raiders lime green...

Not their problem...

They've gone with their traditional colours...

hence why i said they shoudnt have been allowed to, its what happens when we dont have a predominant organisation ruling the sport like the AFL or NRL..

How many teams colors does the Titans, GWS or Suns conflict with?

Australians have enough trouble telling who's who without having them all wear the same dam color.

...Being blue. Unless the dam has a high alkaline content, which then makes a green-ish tinge.

This is fun!

Why shouldn't they be allowed to though? Victorian teams are represented by the navy blue...

Imagine how silly it would be for the ARU to intervene and say 'no, you can't wear your traditional colours, unlike the other teams'

I don't think those examples are relevant, as they've all gone with colour schemes to represent their region...

It's really just the Force who are the odd ones out with the addition of blue to their kit...

as i said, its about brand identification, Australian fans already struggle to tell the difference between teams without having 6 of them all wearing blue.
Sometimes the bigger picture needs to be considered, blue is the most marketable color hence why these teams all persist with it.

As for tradition... well the Reds spent 100years wearing maroon, not red as they do now.
