If shooting is in then debating should be too.
Neither are sports.
One thing your table already causes me to wonder is how grammar can hide behind the asserted roughness of rugby. They/we are shithouse in all sports.

Bull fighting, racing and climbing are the only sports. The others are just games

According to Wikipedia - A gold blazer with the AAGPS logo on the breast is awarded to any boy who attends one of the current AAGPS schools and makes the 1st AAGPS representative side for his chosen summer and winter sport as well as debating. This honour is obviously extremely rare and prestigious.

Is anyone aware if this has been awarded recently

Charlie Stobo (Shore) was very close. Made the GPS 1st XI for cricket but only made the GPS 2nd XI for soccer.

But is he a debater? Gus Le Lievre from Joeys made GPS 1's for cricket and Rugby a few years ago. No idea if he made debating.

Are you talking about his eligibility for the gold blazer? Not sure if you are his grandmother or the only member of the young mans fan club but my guess is he spends more time in the weights room than the English classroom. He needs to be in the Debating team!

Obviously not a debater given inability to comprehend the issue.

No, it took him nine years to do that!
It was a chap called Peter Thomas, a 3rd generation Newingtonian and 3rd generation Dux. Incidently he played in the same First XV as Jason Reilly, Ex Qld Reds, Cambridge now Rugby Master at Canberra Grammar.
