......Jake White, team manager Tony Thorpe - who knew Slade through their past association with the Crusaders - and Brumbies players visited him in hospital while others offered their commiserations via Twitter.

Reading this on NZ news site. I just thought it worthwhile to put in a thread showing some really positive stuff from opposition rugby team. Long may it continue

BRUMBIES RALLY ROUND
The Brumbies deserve three cheers for helping an ailing opponent. When Highlanders five-eighth Colin Slade broke his leg in two places during last weekend's game, Brumbies centre Pat McCabe, who was involved in the tackle, immediately called on the referee to stop the game. Coach Jake White, team manager Tony Thorpe and numerous Brumbies visited Slade in Canberra Hospital this week to check on his progress and ensure he has company.​
