Just saw a piece on Fox about the Tahs visiting some of the poorest areas in the Cape as part of a charity initiative in the area.

Good to see the players are willing to do this sort of thing.

Excellent work! Dont think top players will ever know how much this mean to the kiddies specially in the poor areas.

Yeah but how often are the Tahs down at Redfern with Kurtley showing our poor and disadvantaged indigenes about rugby?

Kurtley's been flying the flag in Mt Druit for years.

The guy who really impresses me for his charity work is Pocock, has a program of giving blankets to the poor in Perth and also helps out those struggling back in Ziimbabe. http://www.eightytwentyvision.org/

He is almost too good to be true, isn't he! Amazing achievements for such a young guy - really having an impact on the world.

These are often the kind of programs that really make a grassroots difference. The big charities tend to get stuck in red tape but these smaller charities get on the ground and get things done. We ran some online fundraising for a group of three young Swedish students who got involved in community initiatives in Malawi. What these guys did with little resources is quite unbelievable.

I agree with NTA though, it's good to see the Tahs running around in an impoverished areas in other countries but never mind Redfern, what about those thousands of kids sitting in the dust in some godforsaken place right here in Australia with no future in sight?

I cannot believe they are wasting their time on stuff like that when they could be tapping into Scott Wisemantel's fountain of skills knowledge.
