Cricket season ended last week and only one match left between dads and kids on 25th November with our yearly farewell.
Here is a very special group and my reason for being a pasionate Paarl Gym supporter and line walker.
KleinGims U13A Cricket Team
They only lost their very first match and their high was winning their Interschools match against Paarl Boys Prymary with a record winning margin. In a 25 over match they notch up a score of 249/3 and bowling them out for 90.
3 Boland Nuffield U13 players and 2 Boland B U13 players in the team.
KleinGims U13A Hockey team
They were unbeaten all season despite having to play a lot of matches without 5 to 6 rugby players being occupied for WP rugby trials. Scored 38 goals (my laaitie scored 13) and only had 6 against them. Outeniqua Tournament champs.
One Boland Cavalier field hockey and Boland Foxies Indoor player (my laaitie) and three Boland B U13 players.
KleinGims U13A Rugby team
This very special team went unbeaten through the season. They won the Marlow rugby tournament. Produced 4 WP U13 Craven Week, one WP XV (B team) and 2 WP U13 Seven players.
You'll find 3 laaities playing in all three teams and many playing two of these teams which show their versatility in sport. Want to mention them.
1 Wiaan van Zyl who remind me a bit of Johann sadie, Rugby Midfielder(WP CravenWeek and 7s player), Cricket nr 3 batter & wickey (Boland Nuffield capt). To top this he is also kleinGims nr1 tennis player and also playing for Boland.
2 Zak Burger (WP Craven week rugby nr9 and Boland B opener cricketer)
3 Christpher Willemse (WP XV rugby nr10 and Boland B nr4 batsman and fast bowler)
It has been an outstanding year for KleinGim, its been the first time in 50 years since our rugby, girls and boys hockey, cricket and netball won their Interschool matches. This group will form a very sound base next year at Paarl Gym High for years to come and follow up on just as exciting and special talented 2010 U13s.
Cant wait to walk line next year at the High School.
