The story over here in the UK is he is going to be sacked this week at Toulon.

It is my understanding the guy wants to play in the WC for Wales and I'm pretty certain, for all his problems and difficulties , as long as he is fit and playing Wales will pick him. But if he is sacked, where is he going to get a game between now and the WC selection?

I personally think the blokes got massive problems, some of which probably started or got worse from marrying Charlotte Church as she's a genuine deadset pyscho. But the bloke can't seem to get along with anyone. But... and I'm just starting a debate, what about a Super 15 side making a play for the bloke for the rest of the season?

Yes the blokes a show pony and all that, but he can actually play when he wants too. Maybe getting away from the UK etc is a goo thing for him for a while. I'm sure Wales will pick him if he's playing in Aus and given he lives in Toulon and his ex wife and mother of his kids has a new 'instant dad' on the scene, as traumatised as he probably is being apart from his kids I don't think he probably sees them that much anyway living in Toulon.

Firstly is this allowed? Or is it too late?

But if it's possible the Rebels or Force could do worse perhaps (even the Tahs) then sign a bloke who can play 10/12/13 and is a solid goalkicker... I think it would draw additional interest in the Super 15, put maybe a few more bums on seats, and given the bloke is probably going to be desperate for a start anywhere, a team could probably get him for a bargain price.

Get him cheap, short term deal - if he pisses people off or has an attitude... cut him loose. But if it pays off, coudl be a masterstroke.

Any thoughts?

Aren't all the marquee spots in Australia currently occupied?

And anyway the guy is a liability, even more so than Danny Turnstiles.

Don't know mate. I'm not sure of the rules about signing people mid season etc or if the 'overseas' spots are taken.
Just another question whilst thinking about it... I thought one of the reasons the Rebels were given a dispensation to sign so many foreigners was 1. to be competitive (questionable!) but 2. To bring along several Argentinians, and expose them to Super 15 etc with a view to the Argies joining the Tri Nations and Super 15 in the future. So where are all the Argies in the Rebels team?

Don't think the Brumbies have a marquee do they? They could probably fit a 4th flyhalf in their team too.

ummm, I don't believe that was ever a reason to give the Rebels dispensation.

Lol you beat me to it. I was going to suggest that the Brumbies need a fourth first receiver.

Seriously the guy is super talented but he obviously has some mental issues. I remember seeing him in a test match early in his career in SA and he looked the goods.

Sounds like more trouble than he's worth.
