Keeps getting injured is the word on the street.

Hopefully he has a full rehab and lets his young body heal completely before getting stuck in again.

He has had a very bad run with injuries since the Under 16's.

The Wicks also have a contingent playing for the Australian Renegades in the Safaricom Sevens in Nairobi Kenya this weekend.
Mark Bannon, Peter Samu & Will Munro are playing with Nathan McMahon Coach & Stu Mckay Physio.
That should be a good start for the Singapore Sevens where the Wicks are scheduled to play early November.

He is excited!

Imagine his excitement when half of the Scots 1sts turn up next year to give them some seirous depth. Randwick could have more half backs then they know what to do with, and the thought of Horwitz, Roods and Kellaway building a backline combo that may last a number of years is enough to have any die hard Myrtle fan gushing!

Add to that some of those forwards comign through over the next 2 years, and the other backs, Randwick could well be building the start of a very strong dynasty!

PS. you heard it here first, Sydney Uni will not be the focal point of the Aus Schools players this year. Be very ready to watch many of this years stars head to other clubs, with Uni likely to struggle to pick up many of the star players! I am hearing the NSW academy will actively encourage players to play 1st grade colts in order to keep game time up, which will get alot of the players heading to the Gordon's/Norths/Warringah's of the world to make sure they aren't riding the pine behind the current crop of mega stars at Camperdown!

Is it true that the Randwick Rugby club, that is the one across the road from Coogee Oval, has shut down?

In brief, the licenced club went broke and the premises were sold earlier this year. The new owners then leased the club back at a peppercorn rent until the end of September. The notice below has been posted on the website:

NOTICE TO MEMBERS
It is with regret that I confirm that the Randwick Rugby Club Ltd will cease trading on Sunday 29th September. Your Board has explored all possible options before deciding upon this action.
The Board has arranged to provide membership of the Coogee Legion Club for all financial members as of 29th September 2013.
Membership of the Legion Club will continue until December 31st 2014. The Board of the Legion Club has welcomed our members and they have agreed to help keep the spirit of Randwick Rugby Club Ltd alive by displaying some of our memorabilia, allowing the use of the upstairs room for functions and meetings, etc.
Your Board will, of course, continue to explore options for the future of the Licenced Club. Members will shortly be informed in writing of an EGM to be held at the Legion Club in November which will help determine the future direction of the Club.

Nick’s in-depth knowledge of high-performance sporting programs at Universities around the world will be beneficial in building strategic opportunities with UNSW Australia, the UNSW Rugby Club and the Randwick Rugby Club.
Jim Dubos has built a strong Juniors program at the club with the establishment of the Wicks’ Junior Academy.
Ryan will build on Jim’s work, providing a structured and innovative pathway for players from the Academy and local Schools to succeed in their aspirations to play for Randwick at the highest levels.
I like this approach, - a local juniors academy, working with the local schools, and the local subbies club.
Hope it pays off, and ARU/NSWRU and other clubs take notice.
We need more players participating across the board, not just at Shute Shield level.

It's good to read about.

For those who would know, when did Jim return to the Wicks. He was at Souths when I finished my time there.

Surprised to hear that Jim Dubos went to Souths.

I'd thought that he was as Myrtle Green as Jeff Sayle.

This was years ago apparently. It was what I was told at least. He was the one who recruited me to Randwick but moved on in my last season there. I was told he was at Souths. I always thought that was a strange choice because he was very much a Randwick man through and through.
