Palu is realling coming into his own so far on this tour. He made alot of metres and his drive in the tackle was fantastic.

My major concern, again, is not the forwards, but the backline. They run around out there like headless chooks. I cannot believe that our game plan is to kick when we have many brilliant attacking runners. You could make changes to the backline, even bring in new players, but the bottom line is that the game plan is not working.

Yeah, the whole thing is incredibly disappointing. So close to still being on track for the Grand Slam.

Once again, Palu only just missed the cut for me. But it seemed to me that, in addition to good work around the park, Rocky saved our lineout.

A couple of comments:

1. I reckon us winning the grand slam would do us more harm than good in the long term. We have a lot of improving to do, and the players must have this reinforced.

2. I reckon I saw Rocky drop at least one lineout that when straight into his hands, possibly two. So while he is doing well there and giving us options his hands are letting him down a bit.

3. Likewise for Palu, my only slight concern is that he tends to lose the ball in contact at least once or twice per game. If he fixes that and keeps his other levels up he could become one of the best.

2. Giteau (If he only had a few runners off his shoulder his cheeky linebreaks would have =ed trys)
1. Palu (if only for his hit on Kearney)

Special mention for Rocky who is becoming an expert at all the short cuts around the field; doing a lot of special work and picking his moment. but to me, his workrate has dropped.

Like I've been telling you numbskulls, our backs are utter kak.

Fixed ... and don't do it again.

1. Pocock - I actually noticed him this game.

Best == 3 points; 2nd == 2; 3rd == 1. So Pocock was the best? Palu third?

Interesting selections. In a game absolutely made for them, the backs did not get a look-in in the selections by the board.

The only one that would have got close is Hynes I reckon. Thought he had his best game of the year so far. He might have snuck into a top 5.

I guess it is a little difficult for the outside backs though - as soon as your 10 is a bit off the rest of you suffer. And we must also give credit to the good Irish midfield defense.

AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) had an opportunity to blow that match open, if he only ran it more. Instead he relied on his worst skill, and that is what is really disappointing.

:lmao: @ waratahjesus, the stubborn contrarian. Pocock, what Pocock?

3 pts - Pocock
2pts - Rocky
1pt - Robinson

But the whole forward pack was really good.

If you had to vote for a back I'd go for Hynes.
