I still don't understand why a penalty try wasn't awarded to the Sharks.

Because the ref probably thought the TJ made a stupid fucking call. It was never even a yellow card - should have been a Sharks scrum. That TJ was the same guy who said the trip recommendation was a yellow card. Fuckwit doesn't deserve to be called "Assistant Referee".

Both that guy and Marks should get hauled over the coals for such a disgraceful performance.

The replays on the big screen seemed to indicate Beale went for the ball, it did go up which is supposed to be the determining indicator if a player intented to get the ball rather than deliberately knock on. Never mind, Kurtley saved the match whichever way it went.

1. Carter. Yeah, I said it.

Edit: Ok, seen the whole thing now, couple of howlers from Carter. Make that 1. Burgess.

You should catch the first 35 mins on a replay then rethink that 1 point award. Carter somewhat redeemed himself with a try but displayed a woeful incompetance on attack several times earlier. The situation where they tried to counter and he practically stopped to call runners on the inside is what you see 3rd grade subbies players dropped for.

Surely by now the Tahs coaching staff have to also be held responsible for that crap.

Was that were Carter managed to turn a two on none overlap into two on 3 by first drifting sidewards and then angling back infield? Just run it FFS.

Even my adorable yet "as dumb as "missus who has trouble rembering who is what on a rugby field made a comment - not very encouraging about Carter.
If someone so vague as my wife can see he is useless then surely the 'selectors' have an issue.

I watched the match with pedallist, a Sydney Uni tragic. When Carter went over for his try we both (yes, him, cyclo) both prayed for the try to be not given. Otherwise we knew we'd never hear the end of it.

How sad's that?
