The only three people on the park who actually did what they are supposed to do. Properly.

OK....2. Palu
1. Hangers

Only because it has to be done. The whole team was shit apart from TPN.

3- TPN (although his lineout throwing was a little off)
2- Hangers (solid only)
1- Baxter

I was a bit disappointed with Robinson I thought he went missing in general play (His scrummaging was very good though). Will have to watch again to see how much work he actually did in tight.

Phil Hardcastle (33)
3. TPN - despite the scrum incident and some less than ideal throwing, he was immense.

2. Waugh - seems to be getting the hang of the new interpretations, stole and secured a lot of ball, knows when to give away a penalty (rather han a try), is definitely not the guy to do the big hit ups (he should always be behind that guy though).

1. Halangahu - generally good, needs to sort out the kicking (is this Hickey's doing?)

Palu was not as influential as last week , but was pretty solid, as was the rest of the front row (Baxter looked very strong in the scrums). Beale almost got a point for the game saving interposition.

1 Burgess by a short head from...well...farkin' no-one.

Negative points to Anesi, Dennis, Barnes, Mitchell and Hickey for the game plan from hell.

Really struggled to give away the last point.

So pissed off at that crap that I want my 80 minutes back. That I thought he Tahs had passed that point and improved just makes it that much worse.

At least the Reds have gotten rid of the worst team to watch tag which they woefully earnt through the mid naughties. I just wish that the Tahs didn't claim that title over the past three years with such aplomb. And the worst thing is that on paper they offer so so much. Such a pathetic waste of talent.

This is the nub of it all. Too scared of the game plan to play any rugby.

I must say Carter had the best game I have seen him play but still did a couple of things that stopped me from giving him any points. Also Burgess must have run the furthest of any Tah's player with ball in hand, pity most of it was across the field. Beale came close to getting point as he saved the game for the Tah's and I still don't understand why a penalty try wasn't awarded to the Sharks.

points awared not because of an y great effort but simply they are the best of what was a terrible lot.

To all those calling for Carters head - I feel for you and Mitchell is and never has been too much better. I personally think his Wallaby credentials are totally ill gotten.

Mitchell is good at running in space (quite quick, elusive etc) - that is pretty much it. In contact he loses the ball too often. His defence is not great. Kicking is variable (but if they kept the ball in hand more it wouldn't be as much of an issue). His passing is average. I don't think he is beyond hope and I would keep him in the team for the moment.
