Everyone played a solid game. It's freaking great to see AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) playing no.13 where he belongs. Mortlock won't be walking back into the team, if at all, that's for sure. Mention to TPN as well for his 30mins of madness

I have a feeling Mortlock has played his last game for the Wallabies.

...the Fat Cat is outstanding - probably the best Wallaby this year. Could never understand why Connolly didn't take him to RWC07.

Not hard to work out Spook, even for a lad like you. Connolly selected his RWC07 squad after keen observation in the backblocks of Brisbane. Anyone who'd had a beer off the wood at the Brekky Creek was in the running. And to be sighted by Knuckles placing a bet at the rails at Eagle Farm was cause to pack your bags. Don't forget the red underpants. Injured (Holmes), doesn't count. Playing crap (Cordingley), doesn't matter. Past it (Cockbain), there's a spot for you in the shadow squad son. Develop future star (Lucas), ah, maybe that's going a bit too far, even for me.

Connolly didn't see reason to venture south to Sydney to inspect the largest pool of rugby players in Australia in its best competition.

From my recollection Robinson's own coach wasn't selecting him in the starting line-up for the Tahs at that stage, but you keep going on your conspiracy theory if it suits you. (And we know it does)

3. Pocock
2. Robinson
1. Genia (after a bit of nervous start, settled down quickly)

Moore, Smith, Gits and Hynes were only average. Poor showings from Barnes (very average passing, particularly in the first half) and Mitchell.

Everyone else had top games.

1. O'Connor

Nau close behind. In my eyes he changed the game, everyone lifted another cog ater ach of his tackles

3. Genia (spectacular starting debut)
2. Robinson (what a legend)
1. Pocock. (7 position sorted).

A number of others in the mix. As others have said TPN was enormous in his time on the field, and his determination, along with Elsom, seemed to inspire the guys.

TPN and Moore still need to get marked down for their poor throws though, not that that was the only issue with the lineout.

3 Robinson
2 Elsom
1 AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper)

Would've loved to give point to Genia, Pocock, Chisolm, Alexander an TPN as well.

Lind, the fact he took Dunning and attempted to appoint Waugh joint captain blows your argument out of the water but don't let facts get in the way of a good rant :)

Haven't seen the match on TV yet so only going off what I saw from behind the posts & I have to mention before I vote that flick pass from Genia to Barnes on the switch in the 1st half was fucking sweet.

To see it live from my position in the stadium was just brilliant, I was in the 3rd row just wide of the sticks & Genia was basically running straight at me when they made the switch & it was bang on the money.

3. Genia
2. Pocock
1. AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper)

Special mention Benn Robinson, TPN & Big Rocky.

Of course I won't; you're both forgetting Robinson was injured. Apart from the fact we had a lovely chat about things rugby at North Sydney Oval during an ARC match while he was resting on his crutches.

3 - Robinson - a young Greg Sommerville in the making. Rock solid at the scrum and gets involved around the park. Made the advantage line in his ball carries unlike Alexander who got driven back in the tackle due to poor body position. Great game from BR.

2 - Pocock - geez he covered some ground. Very effective at the collisions. Was immense in that 2nd half in securing so much possession for the Wobblies.

1 - Mitchell - could have been a number of players, but to beat the Boks this season you need to have a very good kick chase game. Mitchell was excellent in this regard. Took his high balls and showed a bit of steel in defense.

Gee, when I watched the replay I saw Mitchell dropping high balls, knocking on instead of picking the ball up and falling off tackles. Different perception I guess.

yeah, I thought he was pretty average. Perhaps it was the Hynes factor, but I thought Drew was particularly average in the 1st half, but did some good things in the 2nd half.

Where the fuck was he when AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) made the big run early in the game? For someone who is meant to be fast, he was well behind the play. Gave AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) no options.

Oh..so now you are resorting to name dropping...

I was well impressed with the pace Hynes showed chasing a kick in the second half around the 60 minute mark, started 2m behind Ndungandae and over 20 metres was in front of him and gaining. I'd never perceived Hynes to be that quick either...

Hynes is a great winger, solid in all aspects of rugby, excellent positionally and our best worker off the ball.

Mitchell and Turner are a level below, both have clear strengths and weaknesses.

I'm still not forgiving Hynes for not winning us the match against the Kiwis in Sydney. Our best winger should have scored there.

3. Robbo - :robinson: Fav moment was when he took the pass from gits, realised there was still a chance out wide so calmly checked himself and popped it to Gits on the loop. He has all the skills.
2. AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper)
1 Chis/Horwill/Elsom - Were so much better around the park than earlier games. Rock solid at ruck time and made some solid runs.

Feel sorry for Mumm. 2 games in a row he hasnt got on despite playing very well in the last chance he got but the 3 were doing their job so he wasnt needed.
