Good work by the Tahs against a hapless Chiefs outfit...

3. Beale - Extra bulk suits him, defence and passing both much improved and just so much talent...
2. Mitchell - Didn't rate him last year, but he's been good value for the Tahs. Really put the Chiefs on the back foot early.
1. TPN - A guided missile. I pray he doesn't injure himself...

3 Beale - so dangerous with ball in hand
2 Schmoo - for that try alone, but made plenty of ground
1 Mowen - very solid

Plenty of others deserving too. Good team dig

Will be worth watching. The Kiwi radio commentators were raving about Phil Waugh's form this year - "If he doesn't get a Wallaby jersey the game's crook!"

3-beale
2-barnes (he gets it for running, when he runs he looks a thousand times better than when he doesnt)
1-mowen

shout out to mitchell to, and have to say, not just fishing here but carter put them over the advantage line like a trouper and deserves some praise to.

3 Mitchell. Apart from the tunnel ball at the end was close to perfect.
2 Mowen. A monster of a running game.
1 Beale. Last 20 mins defense got very tired, but attack was very good. No one knew what was coming when he ran.

Honorable mentions to Turner, who was excellent under the high ball, Barnes who was mostly good, Waugh, Douglas, TPN and Baxter. Not happy the intensity dropped in the last 20 mins but before that it was the best game played this year.

3. TPN
2. Douglas
1. Mowen

The piggies did the hard work to allow the backs the freedom. Why they didnt do that in the deep south last week is beyond me.

Thought Mumm was very quiet last night - but still did his job well.

I'd like to give the pack 3, but can't. So

3 - Beale: stardust, because of what the forwards did
2 - Shmoo; x-factor, because of what the forwards did
1 - TPN: represented what the rest of the pack stepped up to

Great all round team effort

Mummba was buried deep in the shit. Hit more rucks and made more runs than any other Tah fwd. Good to see

3. Beale - skillful, determined, elusive, strong, alert - and exciting
2. Waugh - added some decent passing and running to his usual contribution in defence and at the breakdown
1. Robinson - his presence in the scrums, especially early on, put the Chiefs on the back foot

TPN would get points too if I had more to give out.

#1 Tah

Chilla Wilson (44)
3. Barnes- Back to his best and the gold 10 jersey is again up for grabs
2. Shmoo- Constantly had the defence guessing
1. Waugh & Mumm - only because you could see a clear difference to the team after they came off

Jim L'Estrange "It lifted. is that what you are trying to say?"
