Genia is the best player in the world.

I would place a bet on Genia being the IRB player of the year if his international form matches his work for the Reds (unless of course Richie McCaw's application is rubber stamped again). He is a true champion and has qualities of character that take him well beyond players like Cooper in my book.

The Reds started with a bit of stage fright last night. They worked their way into the match and then changed tactics at halftime. Combined with very, very smart rugby (3 short lineouts a prime example) stout hard hiting defence and the ability to now grind out a win has been an absolute beautiful transformation of Australia's ugly duckling of rugby.
