Genia is the best player in the world.

I would place a bet on Genia being the IRB player of the year if his international form matches his work for the Reds (unless of course Richie McCaw's application is rubber stamped again). He is a true champion and has qualities of character that take him well beyond players like Cooper in my book.

1. Simmons.

Braid deserved some points as well, but the young guys are really putting their hands up.

I dunno. I thought Genia was a little slow at times. However, he handled massive presssure very well. Not M.O.M. but a good performance.

Yeh I think alot of the points Genia is getting has to do with his tremendous performances as captain, showing great leadership for a young fellow and fans are recognising this

3 - Braid: immense work rate
2 - Genia: for cliche's alone, but stepped up when it counted at the end
1 - Byrnes: took on Van's grunt, coulda gone to anyone else in tight 5 as well

Giteau and Barnes should playing for their Wallaby jumpers tommorrow night and for the rest of the S14. They have been put on notice. Genia, Cooper, A Finger combo looking more irresistable every week.

3. A Fainga'a
2. Bynes
1. Daley

A Fainga'a gets my nod especially after the opening minutes getting smacked in the head so hard he was delirious and still managing to make a try saving tackle, he has heart.

3. Braid his knowedge and comittment will be missed next year. His reading of the play committing himself and closing holes around the park was brillinat.

2. Daley Good hard running and a beautiful flip tackle complimented all his hard in work in the scrums and breakdown

1. Genia his continual ability to provide match defining moments with critical running, touch finding kicks and compitence under the high ball.

The Reds started with a bit of stage fright last night. They worked their way into the match and then changed tactics at halftime. Combined with very, very smart rugby (3 short lineouts a prime example) stout hard hiting defence and the ability to now grind out a win has been an absolute beautiful transformation of Australia's ugly duckling of rugby. Thanks again Link for bring out the swan.
