3. A Fainga - so strong, was outstanding
2. Cooper
1. Hynes - He's making breaks at fullback even more so then AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper)!

Some of you guys must be sleeping with Will Genia. Just because he is playing doesn't mean he gets points in player of the match. He has been playing well and he played OK (also made a number of errors) but there were a number that deserved points over him:

Quade Cooper (I am becoming a fan. He is putting up week in, week out)
Anthony Finger (another consistently high performer)
Saia Finger (ditto)
Hynesy
Braid (did some tough work that sometimes is not noticed)
Davies (is producing the goods)

I thought about giving Cooper some points for his defensive improvment but it is somthing he should of done some time back. I remember him putting Sykes on his bumb last week which was good. Hopfully the confidence he is building in his attack will help improve on defence and this part of his game getts better from here on in.

I see your dislike for Cooper has clouded your judgement.
If you watched the match then I have no idea how you could not award Cooper points for that game.
He was the clear stand out.
3 Cooper
2 A Finger
1 Hynes

I think these two lads have really improved in both execution and skill level this year, although I suppose it helps when the team is chock full of confidence. Any chance these guys could find themselves in a Gold jumper this year, or at least serious contention?

the Fainga'a brothers have improved, but realistically there are players miles ahead of them in both positions..

Saia has Moore and TPN ahead of him
Anthony has Barnes and Giteau ahead of him

however, it wouldnt be to crazy to have them in the wallaby squad

Sorry to step on your toes, I didn't say that they didn't make any mistakes! All I said was there were others that had good games, better than your mate Will. Will has been sensational most games but Saturday night was not one of his best

Agreed, although I think Saia might have the best chance of a spot at this stage than Ant. Saia also has a solid U19/U21 and 7's pedigree.

A few mid-week games on the EOYT for exposure and experience might reap huge benefits coming into a RWC year.

My dream of an all-Queensland Wallabies squad continues...

I think S Faainga is a long way from international standard. Set piece is inconsistent, high work rate but less physicality and gets penalised too much for stupid things. I would have Ant Faainga in my wallaby squad but not Saia.

I think Hardman needs to start this week.

before you go shooting your mouth off, maybe you could show me where i said Will was better then those other players i was merely pointing out the fact that those players made mistakes as well, and secondly whilst you dont think he was any good doesnt mean what you are saying is factual either..

Heck even the rugbyheaven.com.au thought he was the form australian halfback of the round

I must have hit a nerve. All I said was that some pick him every game. There were others that played better on Saturday night. You came back about the mistakes the others made. Don't be so bloody defensive, Will is the Australian half and his actions speak for themselves. I wasn't "Shooting my mouth". The other performances by halves have got zilch to do with it!!!

um... no you didnt say that "some people people pick him every game", you said other players played better then him and highlighted the fact he made errors... which in turn i pointed out that those players you listed also made errors, a yellow card is one of the more sever errors a player can make.

When i said "shooting your mouth", i was reffering to the comment about "sleeping with him", this forum has a repuation for arguments based on intellect rather then snide remarks. If someone has a difference of opinion, there is no need to be antagonising over the subject.

Regardless, thats fine that you think other players are performing better then Will, everyone has a different rugby background and in turn looks for different things from a player, some people respect players like Tom Carter where as other hate him, so be it.

Anthony was in all the same teams. Most seem to forget Anthony was the run on inside for the Brumbies and performing just as well as he is now if only short lived through a long term knee injury.
