Special mention to Sanchez for his captaincy. What a captain he's going to be. but there were just too many errors to give him a point. If I could give Link all of the points I would.

Only saw second half.

3. S. Fainga'a - he only played for about 20minutes in the second half, but was the best on the park.
2. A. Fainga'a - this bloke can tackle.
1. Ioane - was able to step through and around anything.

Honourable mention to the locks and backrow, and I thought Holmes was good around the park, just rubbish at scrum time.

Davies added quite some spark when he came on, almost scoring a great solo try. Expect him to start next game.

These spots are pretty interchangeable with other player but these are the ones that stood out for me. What has impressed me most about link is he has given the forward technique and structure, added some good defence. However he has realised he has one of the best attacking backlines in Super 14, as has utilised it without trying to coach it too much.

I reckon Link has been fantastic in his coaching of the backline as it he has tempered it. In most games (last night being an exception in a few costly cases) the Reds are playing with a maturity that has been absent for far too long. Its better decision making and more often than not the right decsion. They have also gotten rid of the desire to score a try from every first phase, that killed them last year. When the opportunities are there like against the Force they have taken them but they are building towards the try which they then deserved. The combination of being able to expoit the mistakes, build the pressure and the occasional bit of brilliance mixed in to create one out of nothing is such a joy to watch after all these years of suffering.

Honourables to A Finger, Shatz, Ioane, Hynes. Simmons made some mistakes but really got stuck in where it mattered. I kept mixing him and Shatz up actually.
