Expanding on some of the good questions Langthorne had suggested......
Wallabies- as Langthorne mentioned all of his Wallabies involvement (excluding Barbarians game in which he was injured) has been off the bench. What does he see as the differences, if any, in both his mental and physical match day preparation knowing he will be coming off the bench? When he enters the field does he feel his role is different as a bench player?
At Force- with the emergence of Pocock at the Force, he found himself losing his starting 7 jersey and being relegated to a bench player. Was his move to the other side/back of the scrum an idea that he put forward to John Mitchell or was it the coaching staff who saw it? Did he feel the need to change/tailor his game or did he just believe in his ability and let his game adapt itself to what's in front of him?
Injuries- Matt has been fortunate in this back end of his career with injuries ( 2 x AC injuries in recent years) but had a few significant injuries (knee and shoulder reconstructions) in his early days at the Tahs, 7's and junior rep level. Were there dark days when injured, when he questioned if he would make it to that next level, or was there always that unerring believe in his ability to get there?
Coaching- who in his opinion have been some of the best coaches he has played under? What style of coaching does he prefer? Does he prefer a super structured approach to each game or that more play wants in front of you type of approach?
In regards to his latest injury, have Sharpie and Pek promised him any beers after dropping him from that lieout?
