3 Fainifo - most penetrative player on either side
2 Alexander - got the pies but needed to scrum better to get my top mark

At everything except propping, he's daylight ahead. His scrumming so-so. When you can't dominate an out of position hack like Smit you know things aren't quite working.

Thought Rocky was good when he did stuff, but had a 10 minute nap between each appearance

Lealiifano 1

When Smit went off the Brumby scrum did not look nearly as impressive. I can't wait for the chance to see Benny, TPN and the Fuse give them some lessons. I reckon if they don't lose more than two tightheads they'll think they've had a good night.

If the Tah's continue their forward driving then the Brumbies will have to get more troops close to the breakdown than tonight, otherwise they'll get killed.

thought the forwards did a good job at getting quick ball. The win belongs to them.

Not so long ago, Australian scrummaging was a joke, subject to the same humour that used to be applied to Italian tanks - you know, one forward gear, seven in reverse.

Yet, faced with an all-Springbok front row and a scrum of some grunt, the Brumbies so convincingly shunted the Sharks in that most South African of phases that prop Ben Alexander came up with a try from the resulting crashes at the line. It was Alexander's second of the night and a fillip that his team needed against the plucky Sharks.

The Brumbies scrum has been good against everyone so far and Alexander is the form prop in Oz and that includes scrummaging, work rate, carries etc. His stats are impressive. The Tahs scrum is better but Alexander has been exceptional in all facets. PaarlBok even thought the Brumbies were better up front against the Stomers than the Tahs. ;)

It is dissappointing to see the Brumbies are only 5th on the ladder. If they had picked up some BP along the way, they could easily be sitting in 2nd place behind the destructive Bulls. The Chiefs - who have one less win than them - are in 4th spot due to the BP factor. Also if the Reds have a good win today, they will only be one point behind the Brumbies. Come on Brumbies, wake up and score some tries!

-1. Brumby Jack (for setting a poor example of tackling technique for the young fans before kickoff)
