I would like to see Foley and Barnes swap positions at some stage during the game if possible, say with 15mins to go. I think wing is AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper)'s best position, he just needs to learn/be empowered to roam more like Mitchell does.

Adam Ashley Cooper plays that 2nd 15 role very well, he is very safe under the high ball solid in defense and strong ball in hand.

Whilst the Tahs lack Mitchell, Turner and Pakalini, AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) at wing is the clear best option for the side. I also like that he is getting solid game time in the one position

Mitchell. Now that name rings a bell. We used to have a winger of that name, absolutely brilliant, genuine world class. Last I heard of him was the middle of last season....

If we had another winger, it would be nice (on current form) to drop Horne to the bench, bring AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) to 13 and allow him to swap with Foley at points in the game to give us that extra playmaker. We used to do this with Beale and Mitchell somewhat and I prefer it better than having two playmakers.

I believe the double playmaker role works better in test matches were defenses are faster coming up and ut creates space whikesuper rugby is much more about advantage line in close as defenses don't move up as fast but rather set and wait a bit more.

I really liked the sense of urgency that Foley had in that semi-final against the Blues. That's only one game but you see it a bit from him at full back too. You get the feeling that he could rev up a team in a way that Barnes couldn't.

What about trying Barnes at 15 to keep Carter at 12? He's less likely to get injured there and he has the running/kicking/passing game to offer a lot of options back there.

I'm not normally a huge fan of playing guys out of position, but I also wonder why Horne isn't moved out one to the wing for AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper).

I think most Tahs fans are happy for AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) to be on the wing. I personally think it is his best position. As it was said a few posts ago, his work under the high ball is fantastic and he fills the role of a second fullback very well.

Horne is down on form but is clearly a 13 (or previously a 12) rather than a winger. I think Horne has been slowly improving. I expect a big game from him tonight against the Honeybadger. He'll shut down Cummins' long and curlies.

I like Foley at 15. He has so far picked good times to come into the line and invariably bends the line. His ability to offload has also been great.

Foley and barnes were actually in those positions for uni at the end of the Shute shield last year and it worked quite well. I'm happy for Foley were he is at currently though. This is his first full season and I think he is adapting and learning every game. He has been coming into the line quite wide at times and working well as a playmaker out there, I think as time goes on his contribution is going to grow and grow, I just think we need to let players develop rather than expect them to run the show right off the bat.

Mortlock was always a centre, both at Kings and at Gordon. Like a lot of young players, he got his first start at the top level on the wing but quickly shifted to centre. And yes, he's now slow, but wasn't too bad five years ago.

I see the Tahs are looking to target the Force's leaders, Pocock, Sharpe and apparently the Honey Badger is in for some extra attention. Good luck with Pocock.....just the type of thing that will fire him up. On paper the Tahs should win but I'd like to think we've got a few suprises up our sleaves. I think the Badger and Mafi are up for big games and McCallmum will be hoping to go toe to toe with Palu in a square up for the Wallabies 8 jersey.

About 1.5 hours of work to go then off for some pre game beers, weather is fine, start of the weekend, what more could you ask for. I'm even prepared to welcome the Tahs to Perth by offering up a few boo's thoughout the game....just to make them feel like they are playing at home ;)

This will be huge. Force at home, fired up as always, running into tackles and rucks at full pace. The best pick and drive game in the comp versus the best scrum. Two top sides going at it hammer and tongs, low error rate, lots of goal kicks and the difference will be a couple of strong set piece tries through Tom Carter on the angle.

Tahs by 10.
