Force v Reds, Round 3 HBF Park, Perth 7:35pm

The Reds were clearly the better side in the second half and we somehow got in front, but took some bad options in the last 5 or so minutes. Gutsy call to roll the dice with the lineout to try and win the game and good on 'em for that. The opportunity was expertly taken.

the reds were lucky to not have 3 yellow cards. how dangunu didn't get carded for throwing the ball out of the ruck off his feet after a line break was beyond me.not sure where any yellows were for the force. maybe the dolly one but he pulled out last second and there was nothing in it.

not to mention multiple forward passes that they missed by the reds.

The Ryan pass was a shocker but I raise you Stewart’s blatant offside in the last 10 minutes. Clearly offside not called. Clearly there was something in Dolans given Lynagh was ruled out the rest of the game…

Add on Stewart’s shoulder charge and Swains cynical and high shot on HMP and I think you’ll find it’s the Force who were lucky.

he wasn't offside. ball was out. late hit on white unoticed, reds clearly in touch before throwing the ball into a force player. bit one eyed. I thought it was pretty fair overall

I still think mcwreight has to start for the wallabies at this stage. tizanno kept him very quiet in this game. wilson did ok at times. watching tiizano tackling is something else. he just doesn't miss and he doesn't let go.

The various law changes have resulted in more ball in play creating fatigue in the game. The result being attractive attacking rugby taking advantage of tired defences with some big scores being posted. The games this year have been terrific spectacles.

The Force are the real deal this year. Cron moulding the squad nicely. Will be even stronger when Williams, Tomkinson, Kuenzle and possibly Beale return from injury.

Tizzano absolutely had the better game, but it was the whole force pack working very hard to keep McReight quiet, not just a one v one. It very nearly worked for them, but they spent a lot on it and Wilson and Uru got to play largely unmolested as a result.

good point. I rate Uru. would be playing wallabies a lot more but is just a tad behind others. he has a good game for the reds. same for dangunu. I don't think he is as reliable at peitch but he has an X factor that peitch just doesn't have. as we all know Aus rugby loves players with a bit of X factor over players who are solid and don't make mistakes. mcdermit clearly over white and fines. Stewart underated, he is a good second ball player and runs hard. has a massive boot which we saw tonight.

As above by MT add Ryan.

It's Pietsch for me, then daylight, then you can throw a hat over the rest.
Pietsch has been fantastic of late. Him and Dangunu have that top notch work rate. And both seem to be very good over the ball. And then Jorgensen and Ryan offer that out and put gas. It’s splitting hairs tbh. Good to see some competition!

Quiet? Just the lazy 18/20 tackles from Frazer. Would have had a meat pie in the first half of Wilson game passed it normally.

You know what - fuck the Reds.

They didn't deserve that shit and Berry did a 100% rescue job. That 'miss' where Ryan threw it about 15 metres forwards and it somehow ended up 60m of field possession for the Reds was the most egregious but he was pretty fucking garbage across the entire game. I note he was conventiently switched on enough, shortly afterwards, to notice the Force had carried it back.

Berry sharted on an otherwise brilliant game. Genuinely some of the highest quality rugby I have seen from Aussie sides in aaaaages. Thought Donaldson once again showed how quality he has become (fuck me dead). Tizzano outplaying McReight can only be a good thing for Aussie rugby. Loose forwards from both sides were immense - Ekuasi, Uru, Crispy name I can't say or spell... etc
